What has McGrath done?

Thats not an inspiring list of candidates. So not only can we not produce decent players, by the looks of it we cant produce decent coaches either.  Perhaps something to learn from that.

Antrim is a bit of a graveyard job, risky for the CV.  McGinley one of the few to be successful afterwards and that was with his home club.  Any good candidate will want a good package for the risk they are taking. I wont profess to know much about Kelly or Doran but they have intercounty experience. Brady doesnt appear to want it.  The rest aren't worth lifting a phone to.

Is that the same McGrath who coached Donegal to ulster championships with Declan Bonner? Not sure.

Yes he can be our sports psychologist like he was with Bonners Donegal but dont think he should be our manager tbh

His time at St Brigids alone is as good as what McGinley had in his CV.

If McGrath was married to a woman from your club, you'd have an entirely different opinion. It's as shallow as fcuk.

Alternatively you are the one who brought him up, as you have done many times despite him leaving 3 or 4 years ago, you have the issue not me

I will highlight the hypocrisy of those who question the managerial experience of potential Antrim managers, yet who championed another who wrote his on the back of a postage stamp.

Well if McGrath gets the job, gets us promoted then maintains us in Div3 the next season Il come on here and champion him as well. And it will be fcuk all to do with who he is married to.

You championed McGinley long before he did that. And it's everything to do with his connection to your club. Anyone could see through it.

Ok Il admit that, at the same time as you admitting that's the origin of your hatred of him. Catch a grip, I prob did back him more in the job as there was more Cargin players in the team it's only natural, but I stated on this board when they were interviewing at the time that I'd give it to the Madden McEntee ticket as they'd more experience. Now that's the last comment I'm making on this tedious bs

Duine Inteacht Eile

Hatred ffs. He was an excellent player and he's gone on to have success as a manager but the time he was appointed as Antrim manager he had virtually zero experience.
Those who had no issue with that can have no issue with us appointing anyone else with limited managerial success or experience. Sin é.

And this bickering is why we can't have anything nice.

BigGreenField

The positive take here is we have (actual or not)candidates with a range of county and club experience and that experience at a range of levels (a bit like the Antrim squad so probabky no bad thing).

If these are the candidates credit due to whoever has sourced them and to those individuals for allowing their names to go forward .

Quote from: HTownlad on August 12, 2025, 07:20:40 PMThis board is a toxic cyst pit! Which beings little to no value to Antrim

Ridiculous that people are running down men who want to do a job before they've even been interviewed

Needless to say there's most likely no one on here with and success relating to GAA

Your suppose to be grown ass men ffs! I bet you wouldn't say boo to each other faces

It's glorified trolling on here

Nail on head.
