Mother, son, and daughter shot dead...father still alive but suspected shooter.

Heard a couple of rumors that dad was about to shoot himself and family got involved and the other that he shot the wife and kids tried to stop him and got shot.

Truly awful stuff

Happened round the road from a close friend of mine,  truly awful stuff

Unbelievable, heart breaking for the families involved and for the whole community.

RIP

That's heart breaking.
God love them.
RIP.

Would ye whist

Who could actually verify any of this given the people that were there cannot unfortunately tell us, think it is best we leave the speculation at the door and respect the grieving relatives at this time

100%. May never know for sure what happened. Awful stuff.

brokencrossbar1

Only 1 person alive knows what happened. No matter what happened or how it happened,  if he survives he will have to live with what he has done.

Baile Brigín 2

Bohs rampaging around Derry with Wrexham rent a mob in toe.

Or local hoods attack Bohs who robustly defend themselves.

Either way, lads deep in the Bog swinging axes and apparently a few stabbings.

It was after the Uster final this year.

Look-Up!

Absolute F*****G SCUM.

"The court heard McMahon has 27 previous convictions, including drug dealing and possession, burglary, robbery and malicious damage.

Keogh has 124 previous convictions, including drug dealing and possession, possession of knives, assault causing harm and escaping custody.

Conroy has 89 previous convictions including drug dealing and possession, burglary and possession of knives.

Rice has 12 previous convictions including drug dealing and possession while Walshe has one previous conviction."

All out on bail at the time too. Way way way too soft on serious crime in this country.

Rossfan

I can understand bail for a first time accused or minor things but habitual offenders -  No way.

Absolute scumbags.
Play the game and play it fairly

quit yo jibbajabba

That's as bad as you could read. Animals truly walk among us

The legal establishment dutifully collecting its fees, all whilst morally preening itself.

I was just reading about the Joe Deacy murder in Mayo in the paper yesterday, and ended up going down a rabbit hole.

Are there any Mayo posters on here that can provide some context about what on earth has gone on there?

Why are the family who owned the house he died at being so protected? How have they managed to get the whole local community behind them to such a degree? Not to mention the weird things that went on with the Gardai and other official bodies at the time.

It reminds me of something you'd see in the north when the people responsible are being protected because they're a prominent local paramilitary or a state agent, like the Noah Donohoe case. But none of that applies here, so it's just baffling.
