From the BBC

"The US Department of Justice and FBI have concluded that sex offender Jeffrey Epstein did not have a so-called client list that could implicate high-profile associates, and that he did take his own life - contradicting long-held conspiracy theories about the infamous case".

PHEW. Glad that episode in American history can be closed and no one dare bring it up again.

The government at the time did a good job on building the cliffs of Moher on time and under budget. :P

Apparently you have a constitutional right to not have criminal convictions made public!?!

I'm not sure is this scheme as planned fully thought out, but surely a public register of all convictions would cover this.

Asbestos, Risk to power lines,  hospitals nearby.... but go ahead,  light your bonfire.

The north really is  a retarded cesspit run by  a shower  of useless  pricks

There's a reason all the smart people get out of dodge at first opportunity

Why do they wait to the last minute when it's built.  Could spotted it 2 yrs ago.

A joke.

You go and try to gather up bushes in a field and burn them - never mention the tyres etc. and council will be down on you like a ton of bricks.

Wouldn't be tolerated anywhere else in Europe.

I presume this is a relatively new bonfire site considering the substation wasn't built yesterday.

Is there a UVF boney and a new UDA boney close to each other here?

and the police seemingly deciding whether they will provide support for the contractor.
Only in this place could that be a thing that the police force would come out with.

It's obvious why the cops are reticent as there will be widespread disorder if it's removed.

A total lack of leadership from unionism here

You do wonder what other circumstances are there where they would be happy to stand by and allow the laws to be broken because of the potential fallout

They are probably considering how many more laws would be broken (a lot I would think). Hijackings, roads blocked etc

The "leaders", and I use the term loosely,  in unionism could have done the job for the police before now

Two years ago , a man  fell off a bonfire in Larne, and died.

Last year, Jim Allister stood in parliament  praising the lads in Larne  for building the worlds tallest bonfire

That's what you're  dealing with.
