Quote from: blackball on June 25, 2025, 10:08:53 AMNo mention of what happened in the build up to the incident. The Cookstown coach that got hit, entered the pitch first and man handled a Clonoe player. When a coach or supporter enters the field of play and interferes it usually leads to things like this.

This post does not read well. Are you saying that the person who was attacked is at fault for getting assaulted?

A ban for the individual will come and I hope it's heavy. But that the county board need to do is throw the book at the club so they change their internal culture and it sends out a message to all clubs.

will that happen? more likely to be swept under the carpet, a referee was stabbed at a youth game couple of years and cannot remember the book being thrown at the fintona club, likewise ardboe last year when the young lad gildernew was brutally assaulted.
You really should get facts right. It wasn't the referee for starters, the person involved was hospitalised after for his own wellbeing and you don't know that GAA didn't act or whether coming down on him in this instance was going to help things.

Are you saying Chicken McErlean was an innocent bystander and not the referee?

It is not in any doubt that he was the referee that night and it was the referee who was attacked...
Maybe ure talking bout a different game .. certainly wasn't him who was stabbed.

Duine Inteacht Eile

A Cookstown man was stabbed as he tried to stop Chicken being attacked.

Jees! I was there... certainly don't recall ref get stabbed or even injured! ...
NB: Fact checked: ref was not stabbed.

Does that draw carry through to quarter or is it open draw again?

Quote from: bringbackdregish on June 25, 2025, 06:00:04 PMchicken reffed poorly that day

ShutterinbyDayGAAbyNight

There will be an open draw for the quarter finals.

Easttyrone23

Fairly favourable draw for cookstown, clogher and Strabane in the junior championship. Drumragh vs glenelly is probably the standout tie along with a local derby between augher and eskra.

Some tasty draws in the intermediate championship which has pitted some of the favourites against each other with Coalisland vs eglish and clonoe vs greencastle. Moy and beragh will be happy with their draw and the remaining fixtures could be seen as 50/50 games.

The senior draw has produced a tasty parish derby between Galbally and donaghmore as well as a stand out game with 2 of the favourites for the championship between Dungannon and Trillick. Can't see many clubs being too disappointed with their draw.

Quote from: bringbackdregish on June 25, 2025, 09:16:26 PMGreat draw for our club (well half of it anyway I don't acknowledge the newtonstewart people).

Playing a Kildress side who will, in all likelihood, be relegated this season. What a waste of £10.5 million doing their club rooms up, they've only got worse from they done it.

Top facilities but in reality one of the worst clubs in Tyrone with no notable players past or present.

Ladies club, and there's nothing wrong with that.
The very man! Was in conversation this week on the formation of Dregish/Newtownstewart. How many from Dregish are on the senior team?

Ballygawleyftw

Does anyone know why the championship draw was reverted to open draws after each round ? What was wrong with pre planned games?
Maybe the money spinners in Garvaghy trying to pit our lads and Trillick in another final.

Ballygawleyftw

Moortown
Donaghmore

Fancy a pacy Moortown to get the better of a soft bunch in Donaghmore. Made of sturdier stuff on the Loughshore. Murtin by 2

Edendork St Malachy's
An Droim Mór Naoimh Damhnait

Edendork going well and Dromore off the back of a trouncing from Ardboe. Draw this one.

Loughmacrory
Killyclogher

Loughmacrory should have too much for KC. KC with half the team in States and the other half doing Barista Courses. Lough by 5

Gortin St Patrick's
Derrylaughan Kevin Barry's GAC

El Shiteico they're calling this 1. Derrylaughan by 2

Omagh St Enda's
Galbally

Galbally by 10 points. Motoring well

Dungannon
An Charraig Mhor Naomh Colmcille

Clarkes with a few men back from international studies. Their industrious midfield of Barker / McKee will get them over the line.

Ardboe O'Donovan Rossa
Errigal Ciaran

Ardboe by 5 - League side.

Pomeroy Plunketts
Trillick

Trillick by 100

To be fair, Omagh had already poached anyone able to kick a ball about dregish before naomh eoghan was formed. Four of their championship starting team last year were dregish men

Intermediate Championship

Greencastle v Clonoe

Clonoe just to much for a gutsy greencastle team.

Verdict Clonoe

Kileeshil v Rock

Two hard hitting teams, with great championship pedigree. Nip & tuck with an extra time win for rock.

Verdict rock

Stewartstown v Owen Roes

With McShane back full time with the Roes they could string together a championship run, stewartstown just not good enough!

Verdict Owen Roes

Moy v Aghayarn

With aghayarn struggling, the Ricey impact has maybe not yet come to pass or he is just to used to woman's football 😯. Moy flying and will be hungry after last years runners up medal.

Verdict Moy

Eglish v coalisland

A real top of the table clash! But with both teams fully out I think Eglish topple the island!

Verdict Eglish

Beragh v Drumquin

A fairly straightforward one for Beragh, however, Wallace & Gromit (Damien Leonard & Conor Gormley) might just find a way to throw it away 🤦🏻♂️.

Verdict Beragh

Aghaloo v Fintona

A tight game that will go down to the wire, with Aghaloo coming out on top!

Verdict. Aghaloo

Dregish v Kildress

Dregish going well in league but talks are they are already promoted after beating coalisland, the open top bus is still circulating around Maguire's Envagh. So kildress to pull things together and beat the newly promoted Dregish 😯

Verdict Kildress
