       Mc Kinless/Lynch
Mc Grogan   Mc Evoy   Baker/Mc Closkey
Doherty     Mc Faul    Forbes
      Glass   Rogers
Paul Cass    Higgins   Ethan
Toner/Loughlin    Mc Guigan    Murray

Notable subs:
Rogers
Tohill
Mc Dermott

Are mccloskey and lynch training? Not subs not enough. Need to keep at least one starter for the bench. What's the story with Loughlin and Murray?

4 of the players you've listed are injured and haven't played all year.. but, yeah, apart from that...

Brendan

Vale almost relegated 2 years ago, promoted last year, Limavady almost relegated last year and have turned it around this year to be joint first in the league having played all of the big guns in Intermediate, good to see more clubs from North Derry pushing on and holding their own in Senior level

Hence the reason why I put two names there, you don't think we would get away with two players in them positions? You'd surely have more intelligence than that after going to the effort of replying?

I'm told Closkey has been running for at least 3 weeks and Lynch is closer. Lynch was moving well in warm up so I think he's not far away.

Mc Closkey will obviously be rusty having been out for so long but would like to see him getting some game time before going back to club football.

So that is what would be 'wrong with it'.. It's the fact they're injured and can't play any part. So we'd have McKinless, Baker and Toner in those positions.

Lachlan Murray is also injured and hasn't played a full game all year AFAIK. So that would be another problem, I suppose.

How many supporters did Derry have there yesterday? I was behind the left goals and I say it would been near 50+ to 1 supporters in that end.

Difficult to say. Certainly more than the League game v Armagh. But that was a pitiful crowd.

Was in the covered terrace close to the Niall's Crescent end. There was only a small handful in that area.

In fairness, I was surprised that they allowed free movement between the terraced areas. I thought the tickets were set for specific locations - and stile entry.

No the point is very obvious once they are fit and they are close they will slot into them positions. Anyone who has any sort of connections to most club teams know that Lynch, Loughlin and Murray are nearly back fully fit and are better options than whats currently there.

But by all accounts carry on being a petty smart arse without having much relevance to the conversation, wait and everyone will spoon feed you the information. I thought it was all adults in the conversation but the odd u14 seems to have sneaked in.

Lachlan played the full game against Donegal in the first round of the Championship.

I was up the opposite end to you and there was probably a couple of hundred. Though with the weather and everyone in coats, it's hard to tell unless you were in a jersey.
Listened to the GAA social and Oisin McConville said there was a decent Derry support - I thought it small enough.

Newbridge Exile

Where I was at(terrace behind goals that Armagh scored into in second half ) there was  no more than a dozen Derry supporters anywhere near our vicinity

I was sitting in the same part of the ground too and bar the 3 or 4 sitting behind me, I didn't see or hear many other Derry fans about me.

The same fans that weren't at either game in the athletic grounds this year, will be the ones in early to the Galway game this weekend and putting their coats down on the decent seats to keep them for others.

I think this is about as good as we have at the minute. The only change for me would be McGrogan to the half back line for Forbes. Baker a first pick. Really unfortunate for Gilmore this year who I think has the potential to really kick on. I think a Rogers, Glass, McFaul spine is very solid. Higgins showing a goal threat we badly need. Tohill I don't rate too highly but decent offer off the bench.

Why are some people so bipolar on Paul Cassidy, one week he's nothing more than a decent club player and he should stay there next week he's more than good for derry
