The Many Faces of US Politics...

I'm not celebrating anything.

First, the collusion was based on lots of smoke surrounding actual Russian interference (as per the GOP Senate). Second, as we've discussed a number of times, the laptop story stunk so badly when it first came out (at a time when election misinformation was an extremely sensitive issue) that neither the WSJ or the Fox News news desk would break the story and Giuliani himself admitted that there was a good chance he was being played.

And leaving aside the complete abandonment of pretense currently underway, where you point to elite lawyers and insider knowledge playing the system, I can point to very public interference through the promise of pardons and intimidation.

So I'm not celebrating anything. I'm just incredulous that you think this is heading anywhere except disaster, both foreign and domestic. This is not normal, background-level partisan politics as usual. There is no yin and yang.

I do not know why you bother with Whitey ,J70. No matter how many times you explain to him that the Russia investigation was legit ,he will wait a week or two and come back with his Russia hoax Bs.There were 37 indictmentsand at least 7 guilty pleas and Muller stated that Trump would have been indicted for obstruction of justice if he was not the president.Bill Barr preempted the Muller report by stating falsely that there was no crimes committed and of course Fox News and Trump ran with that narrative and drowned out the Muller reports real findings which stated that Trump and his associates engaged in obstruction of justice and lied to the FBI.

Put him on ignore. It'll be better for your own mental health.

My approach to MAGAs now on social media is to just blanket block them.

takeyourpoint

My son and many of his contemporaries think Trump, Tate etc are great lads. I hate them with a passion. They are the worst of the worst. We used to look at the President of America as the leader of the free world. A man to be respected and admired. Now....

Adam Kinzinger said it best "I often wonder how weak you must feel to look at Donald Trump and see strength"

One chap on here (guess who) had himself convinced Trump had surrounded himself with smart and non yes people this time.

I never said that he had surrounded himself with non yes people

And compared to the last time-100% he has surrounded himself with smart people

Can you break it down for us. Who does he have in key positions this time vs last time and why are they 'smarter'?

The two most important ones are Musk and Pam Bondi

He has an FBI director who has his back and is going to expose what the Democrats  such as Schiff were really up to

Homan-FAFO

A ketamine-addled nazi junkie that builds 'rockets to nowhere', as someone eloquently put it. His latest effort is a perfect metaphor for how he is running DOGE. Ditto the TSLA share price. Genius indeed.

Bondi - second choice to a rejected sex fiend that appears good for nothing but redacting the Epstein files.

Patel - malicious nut job, his deputy even worse.

Hegsworth - incompetent alcoholic. Completely unqualified, watching him meeting his foreign contemporaries is almost unbearable.

Gabbard - a national security risk. At least she was but it now appears that it no longer matters given the direction Trump is headed.

All out of their depth, the only qualification required for Trump is sycophancy.

Homan is the exception, absolutely qualified, being an outright evil ****. He would definitely turn on the gas if given the nod. FAFO you say? Have any of your 'undocumented*' paddy friends FO yet? . They deserve all they get given they have been doing the FA part for years. Correct?

Well everything that's happening today is just a reaction to what transpired over the past 4 years

All those with their hair on fire about Homan-why didn't they kick up a stink when Joe and Kamala left the border wide open for the first 3 of their 4 years?

Why didn't they hold marches and sue sanctuary cities/states for harboring violent criminal illegals and not handing them over to ICE

Nothing happens in a vacuum

And nothing that's happening today should be a surprise to anyone. Think about it: he campaigned on these policies

Voters knew what he was going to do-its not like his first term when people were surprised

That's how badly the Democrats fvcked things up. That's how out of touch they were with regular people-that a second Trump presidency was more appealing to 77 Million people than four more years of Joe and Kamala

If you are mad at Trump you should be equally as mad at the Democrats for allowing this to happen

Milltown Row2

You ain't changing your view of what's happening is down to the democrats

f**k! Is that the best you can do?

Trump is doing this because he's elected, everything that's happening is solely down to him.

It's great to see the place fractured, Americans are thick and the current shit show is great to watch

You're blaming Biden for Trump appointing unqualified, inexperienced dipshits? I include JD Vance in that, forgot about him.

You think Biden should have already deported all the illegal immigrant paddies and it's not really Trump's fault he is forced to set 'FAFO' Homan on them?

whitey

4 years of Biden/Harris made Trump seem like an attractive or viable alternative to 77M people

This election wasn't a fluke like 2016

People knew what they were voting for
He won every swing state
He won the popular vote
Something like 90% of counties swung towards Trump
His share of the vote increased in almost every demographic
He won places Republicans hadn't won in decades
He won the Senate and the House

Did you ever ask yourselves why?

Elections are as much about what you're voting AGAINST as they are what you're voting FOR.

All this anger at Trump and his minions

Where was the anger at the open border

Where was the anger at rapists/murderers being shielded from deportation

Where was the anger at (bankrupt) cities spending hundreds of millions (billions) of their taxpayers money on people who were in the country illegally

But when the Democrats default position is to essentially tell half the country that they're stupid racists and STFU...we know better......don't be shocked when it's turned back on you

Milltown Row2

How did Trump improve America in his first term?

Interesting take from Van Jones on the Democrats

"And then offending most people in the country, calling everybody sexist and racist and transphobic and every other name, and then saying, 'please follow us,'" he added.

"That's not a good strategy, folks."

No-I actually hate them all

And it's not rhetoric. The Democrats have seriously lost the plot this past few years

Wildweasel74

Well for hating them all, u chat on here all directed at the Democratics.
