It's happening, with barely a whimper. Sneaky move taking the meeting  online.

And Gort Na Mona staying in Div 2 after being relegated, I'm sure Terry Reilly had no input there  ???
Let no-one say the best hurlers belong to the past. They are with us now, and better yet to come

Quote from: Delgany 2nds on February 21, 2025, 06:12:10 PMThe County Executive have decided to move Monday nights county meeting to an online forum rather than face to face to discuss league formats and parachuting Dunloy into Div 1 .What a cop out!

Have already discussed this when you were championing St Teresa's case last autumn - Dunloy have not been parachuted in - leagues are to mirror championship and Dunloy avoided relegation from senior championship - and nothing in regulations to promote anyone else anyway - not saying regulations were ideal or well written but if you had issue you should have addressed it when the draft league and championship regulations were circulated last year - rather than trying to rewrite them now on an online forum 😂

'In the event that a team playing in Div 2 reaches the semi-final of the SFC and is seeded for the following year's SFC, then both teams in the SFC relegation final shall be relegated to Div 2 and the IFC, unless that club opts to play in Division 2 and the IFC.'
This was published on 6/9/24 by county( after league had finished btw). It is clearly directed at Dunloy. As Dunloy didn't reach semi final, they are not seeded in 2025. It clearly states elsewhere by county that league and championships would align in 2025 and be reviewed at end of 2025.

So just looking transparency.

Tbh, the whole thing is so poorly written! Way too many ...what ifs !

Poorly written is right.

Paragraph after the last one you quote is relegating nobody via championship route should said Division 2 team have finished top 4 but opted for Division 2 and IFC in 2025.

How you go from relegating 2 to relegating none, based on what happens with 1 team, is beyond me.

But I know Dunloy the main focus and the regulations don't specifically say how they would be ejected from top 16 unless they had been the losing relegation playoff team from the Senior Championship route.

In my view regulations poorly drafted and also poorly scrutinised when sent out in draft format to clubs for agreement.

And I think a bullet was dodged as well with Ballymena winning IFC as could otherwise have had 17 teams laying claim to a top 16 spot.

Was it not more to do with the 2 teams who would have been in line to go up didn't want to

No no, stick with the conspiracy narrative.  I love a good conspiracy.

The clubs had a chance to air their opinions last night and challenge it and it appears very few did, so the buck stops with those clubs. We'll all just have to suck it up now and deal with it next year when there is another restructure to suit a club that isn't happy with where they end up.

Hectic

Correct - and clubs also had the opportunity to review last year's regulations before they were finalised.

Sure nothing like a message board to create a bit of drama - in cyberspace anyway.

Round or stuffed

They already are

Take the Mark

They are with clubs a week or 2 now

AllStar15

Pretty much exactly the same order of fixtures as last year and still were 3 weeks behind most counties in Ulster

Round or stuffed

just the division 1 fixtures, surely no other ones are out when there was confusion around grades
