Have you the ladies nights? Codes are reportedly at loggerheads and refusing to communicate with one another. Clubs that are already having trouble finding pitch space will be negatively impacted.

Get over yourself, we've lads playing sundays and monday nights for years.

There aren't enough nights in the week.

On the ladies front I believe Down Camogie and Down LGFA were to agree a master fixtures calendar but there's still disputes going on over that.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. And hopefully not from a retrospective position.

The single biggest stumbling block to One Club / One Association is that the facility levels and availability of volunteers (referees) do not allow for each code to have completely equal footing.

And even if somehow these things can re resolved, there just isn't the the number of days in the week required to allow each code to enjoy completely equal footing. And there's nothing can be done about that... apart from fortnightly rotas.

So we are going to witness bunfight and bunfight upon bunfight, as the growing ladies representation fight their corner.

I reckon this is more likely to be resolved if ladies and men worked as separate units. The disaffected units can then go about creating their own facilities, training their own referees and admins. For when it's all rolled into one ball, the more likely outcome is that instead of everything being equal, everyone loses out.

Camogie already rotate their U14 and U16 games week about, so one Tuesday is U14, the following Tuesday is U16, so on and so forth.

That's OK for us with big overlaps in both squads and with only having the one pitch but yes, it's going to be an absolute shít show when we all merge.

It is. It was last year. Tues/Wed. Never going to be perfect for everyone.

Hurlers host Donegal tomorrow in the league/ Revived Ulster Hurling Championship.

Looking forward to this one.

Expecting a Down victory. Going very well and have to keep the pressure on. But Donegal could be another banana peel.

They beat Down in the McGurk final last year. A preseason tournament, yes, but they still beat Down. They'll not forget that tomorrow. There's also some very gifted hurlers there. McKinney is as talented as anyone in Ulster, for example.

On paper, Down should be coming away with the points tomorrow. But it really is cut throat in this division, and let's hope Down can keep up the good form.

Also, hard luck to the u20s who narrowly lost out to Antrim today. Good performance. Hopefully a good year in store.
