Looks like the puppet masters behind the attacks on ár Uachtarán thought he was standing for re-election this year😁.
Play the game and play it fairly
Play the game like Dermot Earley.

As I am equally embarrassed by a lot of the simpering woke virtue signaling I see on here

Michael D Jr-a fella who never had a real job in his life trying to finagle a $44 M war chest to fund his woke DEI projects.

Sounds about right

You got 44m "warchest" for "woke DEI projects" from that Indo article?

100%

"I think it is time for Irish-America to acknowledge that it was both complicit in and resistant to injustices," he wrote in the 'private' letter published by Irish Central.

There are things that Irish America should be ashamed of, along with the justifiable pride in what they've achieved.

That acknowledgement is hardly "woke DEI" nonsense.

Regardless, it looks like the building is still in the hands of the AIHS, who, to be honest, I never heard of before today!

Must check it out next I'm up at the Met.

So the solution for all of the historical mis deeds of Irish America, is for the "Leprechauns in Chiefs" otherwise unemployable son, to pull a stroke and amass a war chest of $40-50M where he can "generate new forms of cultural expression."  Maybe he can use his dissertation on "The Use of the Panda as a Cultural Artefact" as inspiration

I like Michael D and always enjoyed his sharp tongue from his Labour Days. However, I do think him sending condolences for the Butcher of Tehran on behalf of the people of Ireland - as he wrote it - was unacceptable. Raisi mass murdered political prisoners. And I write that as someone who despises gript but I like to think I know right from wrong.

Whitey, we're you not one of these lads who didn't believe in the flu or strains of it?

No

I get the flu shot every year (and even got it this year)

Just because I'm somewhat conservative on some issues, doesn't mean I believe in every tin hat conspiracy going around.

You get away with a lot when people think you're a naive old fool.
Michael D has run out of excuses for his outbursts at this stage.

PadraicHenryPearse

I think Michael D is a good person and agree with alot of opinions... I saw a poll of who the next president might be... a massive step down in most cases in my opinion.

Has anyone actually thrown a hat in the ring yet?

I don't really know anything or care about Higgins Jr. He may be a useless, conniving, pampered layabout as you allege. Just think you're being a wee bit hysterical about his (apparently scuppered) plans to move the institution upstate and include a bit of self-reflection and criticism on the part of Irish America.

Glad you're feeling better though!

I do see Bertie out strolling and he isn't exactly stepping out. I reckon he wouldn't fancy it, although he could be a lad to chat Trump! And I am being seriopus there. He plays the fool or the rogue but is very sharp.

Talk of Heather Humphreys too. Once it doesn't decend into chaos with loads of candidates who have no chance and just want to make noise.
them mysterons are always killing me but im grand after a few days.sickenin aul dose all the same.
