When a man by 50 years old has gained unspeakable wealth, developed a legion of devoted fans, pioneered a couple of industries, fathered a dozen children, and nurtured the god complex that comes with all the above, the question is, what remains?

People in this position would have an unusual tendency, it seems, towards sexual deviancy and paedophilia. Others want their name against a war, to ensure their place in history. The better ones will sponsor institutions, civil engineering projects and medical advancement.

I get the impression that all of the above is not enough for Musk. He wants to be an unmistakable figure in history. And that in itself should be enough to warrant being walked quietly into the sea one evening.
