Armagh I have advised he "voluntarily presented" himself for questioning and released on bail.

WT4E

Is it true it involves another players partner?

Hearing about players on these expensive foreign trips makes me glad I am just an armchair fan and not someone who actively gives money to the GAA. Imagine your money going to pay for other mens holidays.

Apparently

And is denying any wrongdoing. So this is going to get very messy and very public.

In fairness I'd have bought those lads a house after the year they give us, unbelievable.

Captain Obvious

Crossmaglen have appointed former Louth player Shane Lennon as manager. He had close association with Oisín McConville having managed DKIT together.

when did Cross last have an outsider? Have they ever?

The Vinny Corey rumours didn't pan out then...

Is Vinny Corey not the Gowna manager now?

After D. Mc Cabe left?

No idea. Just remember their were piles of rumours going around that Cross were about to appoint him, they had to come out and deny it

The clubs were asked for £2k each which I thought was a disgrace many of the smaller clubs struggling to keep head above water/improve facilities etc. Expensive enough for supporters too to follow the county team with matches every couple of weeks without being asked to put hand in pocket to fund a players partners holiday.

Vinny was never offered the post. Shane is the first outside manager the club has had. Have had fitness coaches etc but never a no.1. Was a great player but is a very good coach and is fairly local so knows the club well and the ethos. He and Oisín have worked closely together so he would have a strong insight.

Very good appointment on the face of it so looking forward to the years ahead.

Fair enough sure you know what rumours are like.

Interesting few years ahead to see how Cross go, the 2 Lurgan teams have massively improved and you'd expect the next few county finals to feature 2 out of the 3.

Think CE are a bit out ahead of the rest, though still a fairly open championship.

Cross/Clans who are probably next, along with Madden and Harps.

Don't think any of the rest would be part of the conversation. Possibly Killeavy... maybe Silverbridge.

I'd agree. I think if CE perform then they are ahead, but the gap isnt too large for the likes of cross, madden, harps and even ourselves. Many games could swing either way.

It'll be all to play for again.
