Good luck to the Antrim footballers on Saturday against the Donegal junior club champions in the Ulster Junior Club Championship. Would be great to see them get a result and progress to the next stage. More than capable I'm sure

Good luck is right.

It will take a huge slice of luck and some for any of our teams to be lifting provincial football titles.

Divine intervention is probably what is required.

I see rumours on Derry board that Devlin informed Cargin players he was going to Derry

That's certainly one way of putting what you read.

Very good manager and nice fella too, no flapping on the sideline and has improved Cargin

Ronan Devlin saying the opposite this morning.

Gael-in-exile

No doubt he's done well. I'd even go as far to say as he's made improvements on what he was involved with before but that may solely be the quality of players coming into the Cargin squad and how they are maturing rather than his direct involvement.

Pretend managers?

Good teams win championships regardless who's looking after them.

We proved that countless times, but you get the odd manager who takes them to a different level, Ronan has that.

Be bonkers for him to go, few years yet in that team

Bonkers?

Derry are in the mix of the best teams in Ireland. They won the league this year. They weren't far away from an All Ireland last year. I don't think giving up a couple of Antrim championships for a crack at that could be described as bonkers.....usually.

However, you have a point on this one. I imagine a lot of people are avoiding it like the plague.

Have Glen a natural replacement?

It's a poison chalice, if you think Antrim is difficult between clubs I believe Derry is far worse.

Depends where people are in their development as coaches, what's their target and commitment levels.

Don't think Glen will have a problem attracting managers

Errigal will be a tough task for Cargin next week.  Though the tight pitch at Corrigan might work in their favour.
