Jim Allister hardly an ideal candidate but if Paisley lost it would be hilarious.

Still think he'll edge it though.

What an egotistical p***k Jim Allister is

Pub Bore

Pretty ungracious speech by Diana Armstrong. Thought she was better than that.

A bit cocky early on

Eastwood wins in Foyle but his majority cut from 17,000 to 4,500. Share of vote down by 17%.

Brendan

We've seen unionist pacts in North Belfast, mid ulster and Fermanagh/ South Tyrone which have failed repeatedly, they're going to need pacts for Upper Bann and East Derry next time...

I don't know what made the SDLP think they'd spring a surprise win in South Down... 9000 votes between SF and them and they were giving it the big one that it could be a couple of hundred votes before boxes were counted.

They really need to look at putting up palatable candidates ala Hanna/O'Toole

Full recount in East Derry. SF about 300 votes behind DUP but apparently they've found more votes!
