Referee did his best for Mayo to win. But Dublin had the extra gear.

Total joke that Dublin are not forced to play more game out of Croke Park.
Get Casement built and get them up the road

There could be 4 savage strong quarter finals
You'd imagine Mayo, Galway and Tyrone will have enough for any of the third place teams at home.

And they wont have enough for 3 games in 3 weeks.

Yeah that is definitely something that needs looked at

Have Mayo not got plenty of draws v Dublin, and even a couple of wins, in Croke Park?

Players love playing matches I remember someone saying a while back, and a weeks recovery is plenty  ???
Let no-one say the best hurlers belong to the past. They are with us now, and better yet to come

Three in 14 days a tough task for any team.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Do the Stats Hound! One win since 2013 in the championship. No wins in the League in Croke Park. It's not a Rivalry it's a Procession.

I don't understand this rationale.

Firstly these teams have no problem playing 3 weeks in a row. But a week off is preferable and therefore that meant there was something on the line today in these two matches. Which meant we got two really good matches. Galway and Mayo had every chance to get their week off, they were both ahead late on, but both fall a fraction short of pulling off the win, therefore, Armagh and Dubs deserve their week off

Armagh18

Just looking at the evidence of last year 3 of the teams that came through the prelims weren't competitive, and extra week would have helped abit I'm sure.

The way Armagh and Dublin celebrated they have a BIG problem playing 3 weeks in a row. Don't kid yourself.

Quote from: Truthsayer on June 16, 2024, 05:25:13 PMNo team will want to go to Mayo. Hope its Derry, put them out of their misery. Despite his detractors on social media huge credit to Aidan O'Shea he's give it all for his county for many years.
He gets plenty of slagging, but AOS does not lack heart or bottle. That free kick he took off ROD in the first half was brave given he doesn't have the greatest scoring record against Dublin in the championship and there was a wall of blue behind the goals hoping to have a big laugh, but he launched it right over the black spot.

Yeah, it's loaded to make it virtually impossible to win three weeks in a row.

From the Bunker

Well done to Dublin, they proved today they can win outside Croke Park.

That's why there was a chance to avoid that today by winning. Didn't win you get through but only get a week off.

That's strange, they proved they can win by drawing a game?
