Hi Folks
I have recently got involved with the company Clubmugs who are a well established company already and I am currently trying to raise their profile within the GAA circle .

Their mugs are second to none in terns of quality and professionalism and in fact there is no other company in the uk or Ireland who do what they do in terms of printing to rims of the mug and so close to the handle .

The images are all designed by a graphic designer and the final print will not be confirmed until client is totally happy so it can changed as many times as need be.

Anyway my reason for contacting is to gauge the interest and the possibility of getting some mugs ordered from your individual clubs ?

They are a great way of fund raising as most of the clubs we have sold to already are making between £3 and £6 profit per mug depending on their sale price so it can be a nice little earner but also a great way of endorsing and publicising any event by way of prizes etc.

A antrim club recently sold 200 at £10 each and made a nice profit on each one . I think that was too much but shows what can be done and when you see them they are an easy sell

We got mugs off these guys as you can see from the graphic.

Service was very good and the quality of the mugs was superb.

Have heard this more and more recently that volunteers at club level are being regarded as fools and mugs by the corporate section who point back to the volunteerism of the GAA as a first line of defence for themselves.
Why is this debate breaking out so frequently now amongst ordinary members?

Yeah, but we buy it from companies in the south. We don't contribute to the UK economy.
Out of a senior squad of 20+ lads, I'd say 4-5 are out of work.
Think about that when buying services and products

We have got jerseys, bags, hoodies, training equipment, goalposts from local companies. And we've made sure our members and others know we are putting money into the local area.

Every club has people unemployed ffs. Putting money as you put it back into the local area won't have a factor on these lads getting jobs. I think its a very noble thing to do but it actually may cost your club more money to buy this stuff locally rather than trying to find the cheapest option, due to most people not having the extra money they may not have the extra money to buy the stuff!!

Thats not altogether true MR2, while the €1000 spent on jerseys from a local supplier wont get a job, if all the local clubs buy of him then he needs to take on someone. Its more than a noble thing to do, its the reason we have the guaranteed irish brand and other initiatives like it
