Passing the Columbia River Bar
This video shows commercial fishing boats re-entering over the bar at the mouth of the Columbia River between Western Washington and Oregon. It is well known as one of the world's most dangerous and violent river re-entry points.

Would be a bit green about the gills after that.

Also, the description of the video is Grey River Bar, New Zealand.

Who took the footage?

Dunno. I got it by email. I googled the description and it turns up in a lot of forums. It seems, likeTony, a lot of people are saying it's not the Columbia River at all but somewhere in New Zealand. The accent of the "narrator" would lend credence to that.

about 5 mins into the video it shoes the camera man standing along the shore filming the boats. Did you see the man going to walk inside just before the boat gets completely submerged by a wave? Ropey work that.

Ever wonder what happens when Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg "likes" something?

Irish website entertainment.ie was left scratching its head this week when a routine article on singer Lenny Kravitz went viral, resulting in an unprecedented spike in traffic.

The article, posted along with dozens of news and entertainment articles, contained a video of Kravitz joining a street choir for an impromptu jam.

The source of the traffic spike was eventually traced to Zuckerberg.

"It seems Zuckerberg stumbled upon our article online and one click of the 'like' button later, our website was exploding," a spokesman for the website said.

"That one click changed the page from having a total of 5 'likes' to its current status of 14,000 likes."
