I was going to ask on here, what does Bryson actually do for a living - what's his actual paid job - and what qualifications does he have to be advising on legal matters.  Didn't realise he had those qualifications, just assumed he was 'self taught'.  He might have some qualifications, but he's not a qualified solicitor is he?

Man City are an illusion of a club.  As Maroon Manc says, their true status is lower half of the premier league (at best) and every few years dropping down a division.  Their supporters have had a great time over the past 15 years, beyond their wildest dreams, but the party's over, and the hangover's due to kick in!

Will be very interesting to see how this affects them on the pitch rest of this season.

That's pretty poor taste.

If people continue to block the roads in huge numbers, how will the march go ahead?

It keeps Bryson and Lockhart in the spotlight, which is what they crave probably.

There's no way in this day and age that the police could ever start to move a 1000 people or more by force.  That's just not going to happen for various reasons.

I would love to know whether the OO in Portadown actually really believed they could get walking down that road?  Setting aside legal wrangling and in theory what they are permitted under law, did they really think in practice it would happen? Did they not understand that there would be people blocking the road and there was not a hope in hell of police physically removing them. If they thought they could actually carry it off they are incredibly stupid. If they didn't really believe it would happen, then it's all just a game to them and showmanship.

So, local opposition to a parade counts for nothing it seems.

George Gillette, 87, former co-owner of Liverpool. The club statement on the website isn't exactly effusive, which isn't surprising.  His sidekick Hicks only died a few months ago.

I've big doubts about Wirtz as well. Not seeing any improvement yet on last season.

Quote from: J70 on September 12, 2026, 08:51:07 PMYeah, that was grim viewing. Not overly bothered though - it's going to take a while for Iraola to get the team playing the way he wants, and even then there are the issues with fullbacks and the base of midfield.

Tsimikas was shockingly bad in that first half in what should have been a great opportunity for him. Constantly giving the ball away. And the midfield weren't much better, particularly in connecting with the forwards.

Thought Fulham looked really good. By most accounts they've been unlucky so far, so I'd expect to see them start climbing the table.

Tsimikas should be nowhere near the team.  Just not at the level needed.

Agreed. Solid performance especially the second half. Managed the game well after taking the lead. Promising signs.

These things don't tend to end well.

Joyce didn't manage to win the All Ireland but he improved Galway a lot and brought them to being contenders, which they were not before his time.  The fact that Cromer and Walsh were injury prone didn't help him.  Finnerty going off injured early in the 2024 final probably tipped the final Armagh's way. Things that were outside his control.  But he had instilled a very patient, cautious style of play that didn't help Galway at times, particularly in the 2024 final, and they didn't seem to move much away from that under the new rules.

Bannigan seemed to be doing a decent job.  Even if the Louth game turned out badly, was that enough to get him out?  Lots of successful managers have had a ropey result or two early on.
