Depth should be a lot better. Roughly  two good options per position and not counting any U20 call up from 2025 panel which might also happen.

No harm but Danny Fullerton is 10 times the forward Quinn & McShane are. Don't know why Burns is down as a number 12. Is him & Meyler not finished? And as for Cassidy, would he not be better off helping the 'Donaghmore in bloom' crowd.

Good positive post with a bit of club bias thrown in. If them players all commit the squad will be massively stronger than last year. I think Tyrone will also benefit from the rule changes as have some great inside forwards who will thrive with that wee bit more space. Still doubts over fitness of some key players from 2021 but with the returning players and u20 players coming through the squad should be able cope better if some of them do struggle.

€50 wager on your County getting to an AI Final??

The whole point of any season ticket scheme is to reward loyalty by allowing cheaper tickets for multiple games and then access to tickets if your team does well. The gaa have it totally wrong that they are trying to charge the people that go to the most games extra money to attend.

Was it only 6 Counties got to AI Finals since STs came in?

The 7 games for €100 is good value even if you miss one its still  still a saving.

I wonder does the Championship Package alluded to (which I suspect won't include Provincials) include an AI ticket if you go to all the games?

The €100 is good value but makes no sense to charge season ticket holders basically €150 for the same thing. Many of them won't go to the league finals if there county isn't in it or a club final in January.

The benefit was probably as much being guaranteed a decent seat for the final. Through your club you'd have to wait until the Thursday/Friday before the final to get your ticket and even then a lot of what they got were terrace/davin stand. Through the season ticket scheme you knew you were getting lower cusack fairly central tickets.

It's disgraceful how they are treating the most loyal fans. How can you justify charging the people who go to all the games more in than people going to individual matches? It's also crazy that you can buy league packages cheaper than season ticket holders get the league packages.

I know there is the incentive of an All Ireland ticket but the whole point was to reward loyal fans with these. Instead they are trying to use it to squeeze every last cent out of people. This was obvious last year when they upped the prices big time but took away attendance records (so anyone with money could pay for them but not go to half the games and still get their final ticket).

It started out around 75 euro and this got you all league games (including other county games not involving your own), league finals, club finals and first round of championship. You also got a 5 euro discount for championship games. It was a great deal to encourage people to attend lots of games. And even if this was still all available 150 euro wouldnt be that bad. But they've now removed the opportunity to attend other league games, the first round of the championship and the discounted championship tickets (don't forget there is loads more of these to buy to allow you the All Ireland final ticket).

I'd expect any broadcaster not to take ads in middle of live game. People already had missed first 20 minutes of the game. They easily could have delayed the ads to half time. They had taken ads ten minutes earlier before the penalties. And the game is blocked online in the north.

Lot to compliment tg4 on but that was a disgraceful decision. They already had a break before penalties and was no reason to miss 2/3 minutes of an ulster final to show ads. Especially so close to half time.

You have to remember there is only about 8/9 countries that actually treat rugby seriously. And even within that only a couple would have it as their number one sport. So no matter what spin is put on it it is still unbelievable that a so called top team has never won a knock out game at the world cup.

People are reading a lot into the fact it was New Zealand who beat them. But it's probably one of the worst New Zealand teams ever to enter a world cup. In typical Irish rugby fashion everyone is focusing on the great group stages and then glossing over the loss because New Zealand are a top nation. But they then ignore the group stages were New Zealand were comfortably beaten by France.

Why should the live stream be cheaper than the attendance fee?

Exactly. We've always had well attended championship games adding to the atmosphere/occassion. Should be encouraging as many to go to games and not take the easy option of sitting at home.

The Derry game in 95 was the best memory of all those years.

The Derry game of 1995 was the best memory of my lifetime following Tyrone - easily the best.

I know we won 4 AI titles but that day was hard to beat. Actually the first AI win was a bit of an anti climax. But in fairness the 2005 final was a brilliant final to win as was 2008.

The opposition, the rivalry, the excessive heat on the day, the tension in the stands, the tension on the pitch, red cards, the animosity, the hits, the intensity in the air, the late winner - it had absolutely everything.

We will never forget that day !!!!

It can't be overstated what big Art did for Tyrone football. A true legend. 95 was definitely up there as the best wins and atmospheres.

We were spoilt with some unbelievable days in the 2000's as well though. 2005 in particular was hard to beat - the Dublin games/last minute free v Armagh after the 3 game saga/Kerry in the final.

Given Kerry won it last year and they're very very hard to listen to about football I think I'll narrowly favour the Dubs. It does leave you with that bit of fear of more domination given what has happened so recently but hopefully this will be a goodbye all Ireland for lots of their key men.

It's certainly a very intriguing final between two teams with some of best players of their generation. I'm sure come Sunday everyone with an interest in football will want to see it and I've no doubt it'll make for a good final.

But from a neutral point of view it's probably the worst final possible. It's always nice to have a clear preference for one team in a final (usually the underdog) but in this case it's hard to really get behind either team given their success. A few years ago I was delighted to see Dublin make their breakthrough beating Kerry but they've been so dominant for a long spell since.

I'd have much preferred a Dublin Derry final and would have been more than happy for Derry to win.

I don't think anyone is demanding an All Ireland every year. What you would expect from an established top county like Tyrone is to be at least competing most years. This last two years we have been miles of it. Hammered by Derry and Armagh last year and struggled past Fermanagh. This year beaten at home to Monaghan and drew with Westmeath before being miles of it v Kerry. The form has been atrocious over the last two years.

You couldn't say a bad word about Dooher and Logan in terms of what they've done for Tyrone football. They've done a lot for football in the county and no one can take away from what they've achieved.

Do I think they should stay on? No, definitely not. The last two years have been mediocre and they had two bad years with the u21s outside the All Ireland win as well. I just can't see them turning it round from here with so many players already making themselves unavailable and all momentum seems to be lost. Tyrone looked far off it in terms of conditioning as well the last two years which is another area needs looked at.

The biggest problem would be who to replace them. There isn't many obvious candidates in the county and it's hard to imagine Malachy O'Rourke taking it.

There's no doubting the credentials of Tyrone's first team. McGeary looks up for it for the first time in a long time, F Burns and R MacNamee seem to be back to the required standard.  These were the matchwinners in the big games in 2021 in my opinion.  The McKenna x factor has been replaced by the Canavan X Factor.  My only concern is this.  Those big games in 2021, we were able to bring on certain very effective subs.  Ben O'Donnnell nearly always replaced Kennedy and was very effective-who does that now? Tiernan McCann had that experience for game management.  And then an in-form McShane coming off the bench.  I am concerned that if any of the full team fatigues (especially the two boys in midfield), the quality drops.  I hope I'm proven wrong.

It's a pity McGleenan hadn't stayed injury free and got a run at it. He could have been a decent option around the middle for the last 15 minutes.

I agree on the McGleenan point but surely he is fit if he has been named on the bench in all the games in the championship to date bar the Monaghan one. I fully expected him to have played some minutes off the bench before now - maybe this is the game

He was replaced on the bench on Saturday night and has had a few injuries during the year.
