Funny I was sure that Hogan Cups and all ireland minors were very relevant to Senior County Football as well as Sigersons. Who are all these players with Ulster Clubs by the way apart form the aforementioned BDerry boys the only one with a ulster medal is Joe O'Kane and poss Feargal Doc in 2000 . Interestingly a derry club has not won ulster since 2003 so think before you speak. You have deluded yourselves that you have this great crop of players. you remind me of Dublin all hype no substance Crozier should be glad to be rid of you. And Tyrone have great PLAYERS as well as a great manager. You can do nothing without the players but Im sure your new messiah will lead you to the promised land. Malachy O' rourke took over a good squad of players who ahve been consistently in the top 12 where they finished this year he is an excellent manager but you cant help but feel some seem to get more praise than others.

Tyrone / Re: Tyrone Club Football and Hurling

How are clubs coping with no football I know a lot of clubs where players are not training not that I can blame them. It must be very frustrating for managers. I see the count board are talking about a 2 week break after tyrone finish- if they get to the final it will leave the schedule very tight to finish the championships!!!!

Is anybody else worried about this one I cant help feeling we are being set up for a fall!! we were excellent against Dublin but it is very hard to reproduce that all the time. I would be happy to get over this any way we can. I cant see Mickey changing the team around though perhaps mcguigan might start where he finished in a deep role if wexford play a sweeper.

who are all these talented derry players ??? I have looked at your squad where is the silverware? no ulsters no all irelands, the ballinderry boys have all ireland clubs but thats about it. Crozier gave his best to Derry with a limited pick. I someone trying to say that forward line has more talent than Tyrone? you dont have a dooher or a mcguigan. The work ethic of your team is not up to scratch at all.

GAA Discussion / Re: Aidan O'Mahony = Pathetic

it will be interesting to hear what the panelists on the sunday game have to say about cynical football now. I would also like to question the Donegal man on TV3 talking about cynical Tyrone what has he to say now. Don't like to be too harsh on anyone and I am not a fan of our own players attempts at diving but O'Mahoney would want to cop on to himself as he is a very high profile player. I think he should come out and apologise for his actions as he cannot be suspended. we are moving away from wanting to win to having to win at all levels and this kind of incident typifies it.

I see the Rock are due to play Trillick in the Rock. This is unfair to Trillick to have to travel that distance on a Tuesday night. Also the Rock minors are due to play on Tuesday night. What happens there?

I've said it before and I'll say it again - there is only one team in Tyrone - it's the senior team - the clubs merely feed the senior team - the clubs really only exist for the benefit of the county - but sure wasn't this always the way and sure you wouldn't have it any other way ! It doesn't really matter that much when the championships are played - they're not important.
Are you for real? sunshine croke park assholes we are holding up in excess of 500 players for the sake of 30 players who lets face it are probably going to get beat anyway so I most definitely would have it a different way that did not waste my time!!!!!

Does anyone have any idea when the championships will be played. I have heard talk that it will be september before the thing will start again. I think it is time to scrap the back door, I know we have benefitted as a county but have our clubs???? :( :(

Why in under god would John McCloskey be considered for any job as a manager least of all the Dubs. He seems to be in the circle. Ewan McKenna wrote an article on Derrys problems and mentioned the fact they were not doing drills to combat the blanket defence, surely that is the trainers fault. This is the same journo who cowrote Oisins book who claimed that it was obvious when he was trying to do football drills that he was not knowledgeable about football. McKenna then proceeded to talk of how McCloskey could be a future county manager. Something is not adding up here.

If Dublin are serious about winning the all ireland they need to be beating us convincingly. I can't see them doing that because Tyrone are defenitely getting the bit between their teeth. They know how to win a skill that cannot be taught. One factor will prove the difference between the teams-intelligence. Tyrone most def have it on the line and their leaders have it on the pitch eg Cavanagh coming out the field, McMenamins professional foul in the last few minutes. Dublin don't have that calibre of leader within their ranks both on the line or the pitch. Tyrone by 2 There is much more in the McGuigans and we will see it on Saturday week!!!

Looks like the way to go, Gourley moved up the roster very quickly when the fuzz appeared :D

If Frank McGuigan, Eugene McKenna, Jody O'Neill, Iggy Jones, Peter Canavan, Stephen O'Neill etc are the worst thing to ever hit the GAA then I would'nt like to see the worst. Cynical fouling was introduced in  1946 to stop a free flowing Antrim team by those paragons of virtue KERRY. Bringing men behind the ball ala Ger Power and Pat Spillane who took diving to an art form re 1980 AIF, yep that was kerry again. Raising fitness levels and ignoring footballs in training, Dublin and Kerry in the 1970's. We are by no means innocent and there are certain things about this tyrone team that I would not subscrbe to but they are by no means the only county involved. Remember imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!!! I recall watching Tyrone and Derry in 95 when Derry scored 9 out of 10 scores from frees.
