Not exactly fair on Rock/Trillick and Derrylaughan/ Killeshill to have to play 4 days later if they win on wednesday nite. Why are these games not on Sunday or Monday nite?So much for player burnout, sit on your arse for 10 weeks and play 2 championship games in a week.

As someone who has coached in the past I would have to say that people are being unfair on Pillar in this instance. I would'nt be a fan of the type of book they had but each to his own. Other teams have had similar strategies and they have being successful. I f the Dubs had won the AI then  we would all have been under pressure to have a book by players. The likes of Hogan are barroom slabbers with a much larger audience. To compare Cody's approach is completely nonsenseical he has by far the best players to work with, why would he complicate it. In football Kerry aside no team has that abndance of talent so Managers improvise with different gimmicks to help their team. Let Hogan take a team over..... Hogan for Celebrity Banisteoir and take some of those other geniuses with him.

What time is the Rock match fixed for. Are the Derrylaughan and Stewartstown games that weekend as well?

Trillick’s championship game against the Rock is fixed for Friday 26th September in Carrickmore under floodlights

I have never heard such dogs dung! this is a BAD move I would be a big Mickey Harte fan but this throws up all sorts of quandries. I have seen O'Neill play 3 or 4 times this year and trust me he is of the pace. When he gets the ball he still has the ability but his problem is getting the ball. This will be 10 times harder in an AIF. Those who have raised doubts about a unaminous decision are right it is obvious there are not too many footballers on this board. I as is every other footballer is selfish and wants to play. So if you think that anyone who is unsurped by O'Neill will be happy then it is obvious you have never played the game. This will lead to bad feeling as these players who are sidelined are not happy and a few clubs will not be happy that their man is not on the 30 on the big day, understandably so. As for him starting well this is the beard we are talking about so you never know. As you can see I am unhappy about this decision but I am a tyrone man to the hilt so I will back whatever team is sent out Tyrone ABU

What you think and what the clubs decide are unfortuanately two different things. The only clubs who get to vote are those with County Players. A lot of these clubs have a strong position in their leagues Trillick Clan na Gael Carrickmore etc who will not want to see a top 4 playoff. Other teams like Moy will not want it for obvious reasons. Clubs like Moortown will not want a bottom 4 in case they end up in it. Waht is the point at this stage anyway the damage was done throughout the summer so why not now wait the extra few weeks?

Surely Mickey Harte will not allow Gourley to play in this game with 2 weeks to the AIF.

just got a chance to read the proposals to continue with football. See they are signed by 2 strabane men ??? at the bottom. I don't see why we should be digging the county board out of their mess. I have heard they are threatening to play championship games straight away if the proposals dont go through. What will it matter they have made a mess of the championships anyway >:( >:(

Why in under god would clubs agree to put themselves into a Lottery decision. Then again the committees are not necesscarily worried about football as long as Tyrone are doing well. I would like to know how cork, kerry and wexford are managing because I can tell you here and now that we are not in Tyrone and even an all ireland does not justify the nonsense that club players have had to put up with.

I know this is a smartarse comment but would Brown be so bad at the end of the day he won an all ireland with a good bunch of these players and has a good record in club football. He might be a bit too controversial for the county board however. I would say that there is more chance of Danny Quinn getting the job and that is saying something!!!!!
