Can you say the IRA during the war of independence were heroic while not supporting the murder of innocent Protestants? Is it not fairly similar?

Quote from: theskull1 on May 23, 2024, 10:14:25 AMWhat I see is a massive number of claims made by Israel politicians and their media parrots to completely dehumanise an entire population being used a some sort of excuse for them subsequently flattening Gaza. The systematic rape (including anal), 40 beheaded babies, babies in ovens, and the cutting babies out of wombs claims... ALL DEBUNKED... are still being spouted.

No one that I can see is claiming that there may have been isolated instances of rape. How did you miss that?

Speaking as someone whose great grandfather spent time in Frongoch after the 1916 rising, I am highly offended that people on here seem to think there's some moral equivalence between the events of October 7th and the 1916 Rising

Hamas are animals that should be wiped off the face of the planet

"It was a catalogue of the most extreme and inhumane forms of killing, torture and other horrors," including sexual violence, she stated.  The team also found convincing information that sexual violence was committed against hostages, and has reasonable grounds to believe that such violence may still be ongoing against those in captivity"

Catch yourself on.

Quote from: illdecide on May 22, 2024, 07:38:25 PMArmagh will need to beat Westmeath on Saturday as they travel to Derry next weekend who themselves must now win this one having lost to Galway. Having Galway on a neutral venue will help but they look like they're building momentum and could go far in the Championship but will not win it. Armagh as per usual will be left behind sucking a hind tit.
Love to see great support for the lads! ;)

I'll be there giving my support like i do every year. I just know what's coming from experience :)
We topped a very similar group last year. Lets hope for the same again!

Quote from: red hander on May 22, 2024, 05:33:25 PMSad thing is, we'll be swapping one shower of odious bastards for another shower of odious bastards. I wouldn't trust Starmer as far ad I could throw the cnut.

He's a politician but has less malign intent than the Tories.
A bit like Biden and Trump, you can have an unimpressive candidate or an outright dangerous one.
I'd say theres plenty in Gaza who'd say Bidens fair dangerous as well!

Quote from: Blowitupref on May 22, 2024, 08:13:27 PMGood start for Atalanta rewarded with a 1-0 lead.  2-0 now a good finish,  Leverkusen  unbeaten run in danger now.
Sure they don't start til 90 min plus!

Quote from: Jeepers Creepers on May 22, 2024, 10:08:02 AMHad a few conversations about England and Sanchos name didn't come up in fairness re  selection. Would not be surprised if Rashford is squeezed in at some stage but certainly doesn't deserve it on form.
Can he still be called up?

Quote from: JoG2 on May 21, 2024, 05:00:12 PMA crowd of aul wimen in here.. Natter natter natter. My 3rd cousin thrice removed who is married to a chap who used to live down the road has a niece who knows someone who once had a lovely all inclusive week in Portugal, and they confirmed the players were tucked in by 10pm

Glad that's cleared up then!

The cheek of us, discussing rumours on a discussion forum!!

History is written by the victors. Plenty of evil bastards on both sides of nearly every conflict in history. America and it's allies are every bit as bad as Russia.

As far as I can see the 2 lads were hugely popular especially among the 18-35 audience.

Quote from: smort on May 21, 2024, 03:56:46 PMCome on guys, you can't leave us hanging like that

Spill the beans
All I've heard is that players were given the option to stay on for a few days for a holiday, some did and one player was "assaulted". Have no more detail than that and take it with a pinch of salt, maybe some of the Derry men can give us more detail.

Henderson should be nowhere near it at this stage tbh. Surprised Sancho didn't at least make the 33 man squad.

Shaw included but knowing him he's about 3 stone overweight after being out for so long so he'll probably be cut.

Wasn't O'Rourke over the Dromintee u16's who won ulster club there?

Anyway great to see some positive results at underage, felt as though there were years there we barely got a win at all. Derry are definitely strong and beat us well a few weeks ago but anything can happen in a final.

GAA Discussion / Re: Seconds teams
May 21, 2024, 03:15:30 PM
Quote from: SouthOfThe Bann on May 21, 2024, 03:10:18 PMWas there not something in Offaly hurling this year where Kilcormac Killoughey had a vote on whether they'd have 2 teams in senior this year.

Since they won intermediate this year.
Not sure. I know in Armagh you can only have one team at each grade so if your seconds were promoted to senior or the unlikely event your first team was relegated you could only have one team in intermediate the following year.
