I was at a Quiz some 20 odd years ago in Cookstown, when a contestant was asked "What was O'Donovan Rossa's first name?" to which he replied "Ardboe"

QuoteI got games, cables and download software to do this, but after researching on net theres a lot of downgrade software that turn your psp into a "Brick" ie fecked, cause they have a virus in them.

You don't have to have a virus to "Brick" your PSP. Last year my son was upgrading the firmware on his PSP with a Genuine PSP game he had received as a present. He lost the power to the PSP while the upgrade was in progress and turned the PSP into something that might as well be a brick.

Upgrading or downgrading your firmware can be a very risky business. It is something that Sony expects you to do to enable you to play the latest games. But when it goes wrong Sony and their retail agents refuse to stand over it under warranty.

Bricking a PSP is a common problem and their are loads of web sites dedicated to it. But they all agree that when it happens the only solution is to buy a new one and put it down to experience.

The lesson is dont f*** about with the firmware unless it is really necessary

It looks like Lehman, Gilberto & Diarra could all be away in the January transfer window.

While losing Mad Jens & Gilberto to Germany & Italy probably wont hurt the gunners too much, Diarra going (possibly to Portsmouth) should be more of a concern.

Alliadiare at Middlesborough & Bentley at Blackburn have shown that there are better chances of first team football elsewhere in the premiership.

Wenger's policy of loaning players out to potential rivals may backfire on him if Djorou comes back from Birmingham to sit on the subs bench or play in the reserves for the rest of the season.

Loaning players out or playing them in the league cup, may give them more experience, but it is also the best shop window for your rivals.

Too many former young guns may come back to punish us unless we adopt a policy of only selling, or placing players on loan, to foreign leagues.

Sticking pins into voodoo dolls of Dessie Farrel & Donal og Cusack.

And phoning members of the Kildare County Board and persuading them that the secretary of the GPA might not be willing to put the ambitions of Kildare football above his duties as a promoter of Professional Gaelic Games

QuoteBecause they're insane, but apart from that it would mean doctors could intervene and two babies wouldnt lose their mother to something so daft.

Would these babies be better off with an "insane" mother?

These are religous beliefs and should be respected as much as "keeping priests celibate" or  insisting on "circumcision for all males".

All religions have their beliefs which do not make sense to people outside. But religous intolerance is a far worse path to follow.

Would we be as quick to override the wishes of a Moslem family?

QuoteEnding the war fast was the right choice every way you look at it.

The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few .

Since when are 140,000 people "the few"

W.W.II was already won.

The dropping of the Atomic Bombs on Hiroshima & Nagasaki were a demonstration by the U.S that they had the ability to inflict major civilian casualties on anyone who did not agree with their objectives.
