Depends how the Tyrone v Cork game goes.

So it's scoring difference and not head to head to break ties?

Scoring difference if three finish on the same points.

Well Donegal would need Tyrone to beat Cork. Presumably they'd also beat Clare. In which case all three would have four points. So Donegal need to pull this back.

Point in it.

Quote from: Blowitupref on June 01, 2024, 03:34:37 PMPerfect start to the second half for Cork, be interesting to see how Donegal respond.

Donegal are the 2nd coming, no chance Cork are beating them

Who said that?

Kerry / Donegal / Dublin, everywhere you read... And me!

Most coverage I've heard predicted a tough game for Donegal at PuR.

If they don't turn this around, I'm assuming Donegal can't top the group?

Two quick goals at the start of the second half for Cork. Donegal in a bit of bother. Getting turned over quite a bit.

Well yeah, but we were talking about the swing states. And I looked up Wayne County which contains Detroit and Dearborn. 100K people of Arab descent. I don't know what the polling shows or the exact political trends among those people, but yeah, on second thoughts, given how tight Michigan has been, Gaza could well be decisive if enough of them withheld their vote. And it is those I was referring to.

Like yourself, my vote in NY doesn't really matter (if it does, Biden is in very, very serious trouble!). Theirs does.

Quote from: Jell 0 Biafra on May 31, 2024, 12:36:58 AMNot sure about that.  Inflation and (in Michigan particularly) genocide are his electoral issues.  Short of standing aside for one of The Squad, not sure any fresh faces would have handled either of these issues differently.

I think you're overestimating the effects of Gaza inside the US. Especially as Trump is even worse.

May not mean people vote for Trump but a lot of die hard democrats and anti Trumpers in this area saying they won't vote for Biden ever again. If that sentiment is in some of the swing states it might be all That is needed.

Given the tight margins in the past two elections, you're right, it won't take much, which is why I'm pissed off that Biden didn't stand aside. I just don't personally see GAZA being the decisive issue as opposed to perceptions about the economy or the border, but we'll see. I guess it all adds up.

But anyone who withholds their vote for Biden on Gaza is basically handing that issue and everything else over to Trump and all that he is going to unleash. I hope they're content with that choice.

Perhaps you weren't around the gaaboard at the time theskull1, but there was pretty much unanimous opposition to and condemnation here of the actions of the US in the Middle East in the 2000s.

Just because the US are correctly, at least until next January, supporting the Ukrainians, doesn't mean that people can't at the same time remember and condemn their violent and destabilizing actions around the world in the past.

Quote from: Jell 0 Biafra on May 30, 2024, 11:38:27 PMThe people donating were always going to vote for him.  So this doesn't change anything for them.  What matters is how it affects swing voters in 5 or 6 competitive states.

Which is where Biden's pride is going to screw the country. Had he stood aside, the Dems would have a fresh face on the ballot and Trump would either have been jettisoned too or would be staring at a hammering.

He tried to steal an election and attempted a coup. He was found guilty of sexual assault in civil court. He has courted the support of violent right wing extremists in a presidential debate. What's a little felony falsification of business records to hide a payoff to a pornstar?

Some piece of work. No question he's the worst president in the history of United states of America.

Yet, with the current state of the world, he's a good bet to double down on that. We could be in for a dark next five years.

Yet all the war started after he left office??

He set the table for Putin and Ukraine.

He emboldened the Israeli extreme right by moving the embassy to Jerusalem and rubber stamping the annexation of the West Bank.

He managed all of those in the first 10 secs of his statement.

A lot of projection there, as always.
