Stayed up in the Antrim on the recommendation of Baile an Thuaige on Paddys weekend, I loved it up there, deffo best scenery I have seen in this country. Try this place http://www.mcshaneglen.com/

Stayed in the wee bothy its right beside the cliffs, twas a lovely wee place, unreal view and its fairly central between the rope bridge and the causeway and close to the beaches

The plaza is a nice hotel but christ they can charge, stayed there for a stag a few weeks back, double room 1 night cost 300 euros. Got on a nice number lied to the gatekeeper who i was and got into the residents bar. Crashed on the floor with 5 others and left the next morning to get breakfast downstairs, last man awake had to foot the bill.

If you like golf the broadhaven is your man, I would rate the Belmullet golf course as one of the best in the country. I think they do a deal with the course if you stay there

I find Breaffy is just alright not great, the speed traps drive me nuts I have a low to the ground car and even at 1 mile an hour i scrape the exhaust off the car. But for that price its worth it I suppose, the food there isnt great, castlebar is not a good place for restaurants unless you lke Indian (Tulsi is fantastic) and for the scenery you will need to go to Westport or Pontoon.

Try the pontoon bridge hotel in Pontoon, beautiful place and there is a good pub down the road caled Healys which has a great restaurant

would agree with the park inn in mulranny, the setting is spectacular although there is not much to do there at night unless you drive.

Somewhere in westport would be better, if you can stick the stags and hens, knockranny is a good hotel and there are plenty of nice restaurants and pubs there that would be away from the crowds

Its hard for them to get news reports on the papers up against the mens as the interest just isnt there.

However their website is second to none www.ladiesgaelic.ie

The gaa.ie could learn a lot off them, pictures from all their games and news stories have a lot of local angles on them instead of just catering for the intercounty stars

Big congrats to the GAA IT Committee and New Zealands Real Sports, they have implemented cutting edge technology into the website, the stories are now displayed as pop ups upon clicking, such cunning!

Now all they will have do is display a banner at the top of the page that will warn people that if they have anti pop up software such as firefox, google, yahoo etc. They will have to enable pop ups on the GAA website or hold the shift or control key down while clicking the aforementioned stories.

They really are a disaster up in that place!
