Do TyroneTV do a combined weekend or season pass to watch more that one of the live games? or is it all individual purchases?

Girl I went to school with filming the young fella opening his GCSE's and feeling the need to post it on instagram. 

Am guessing the young lad did alright otherwise, it would never have seen the light of day. Post all the good stuff to social media leading everyone to think they have a perfect life when the reality for most of them is that it is an escape from their reality to make them feel good about their shitty lives.

Should be a mandatory requirement if you are doing the instagram reveal, that it should be a live video stream!

Anyone any clue about this one re tv Ariel's
I have a six way Ariel splitter in my attic.
When I connect a tv to one of the Ariels it will not pick up a number of channels. No signal. However when I bring it to another Ariel in the house it will pick up all channels. Can't understand this   Any ideas??

I'm not sure that I understand. Do you have one aerial and six ports feeding off it. Do you have more than one aerial?
If the TV gets stations on one cable and not another, then it could be related to the length of the cable and distance from the aerial.
In the north some of the stations are broadcast at a lower power than others. Which stations do you not get?

I have one ariel in my attic which is connected to an electric 6 way box splitter.  From this box I have 6 ariel cables going out to 6 rooms in the house. I have a tv in each room. In one room when I attach a tv to the Ariel I cannot get any HD channels when I tune it.   If I bring that TV to any of the other rooms I will get all the channels .. just don't understand why in one room it won't pick up the same amount of channels when it's coming from the same Ariel.

It sounds like you might have a poor connection in that one room. I would swap two of the cables in the 6 way box splitter, one that leads to a room which is working perfectly with the one that leads to the room which isn't picking up channels. Test it again then with the same TV.

Depending on the results you could narrow it down to potentially a back cable connection, or wall plate connection.

I've never been to an amateur or Sunday league soccer game - does the same go on there or is it worse at GAA games?

Never heard of a referee being stabbed at the soccer, so no.

But why even start the whataboutery

I don't think O'Neill is going for the "whataboutery" angle. Seemed like a genuine question to me.

I too would be interested in the answer. I am imaging there wouldn't be the same vitriol as you don't have the same parish vibes and that the soccer games are a gather up of people from everywhere with less spectators.

Referees went on strike in Dublin and last year. Abuse happens. The difference is it isn't tolerated.

I am saying that GAA club matches probably have more of a crowd and the crowd has more of a connection to the team given the parish rule compared to an amateur soccer team who can transfer players in from everywhere.

I am also none the wiser as to whether the same abuse and vitriol is directed at referees in the amateur soccer league games.

You are saying that any better behaviour towords referees in soccer is because soccer fans aren't passionate enough to attack referees. Are you sure about that?

I think abuse of referees happens along the same lines in soccer. But the associations deal with it robustly, which simply doesn't happen in the GAA

Absolutely never said such a thing. If you have 200 people at a match, there is more likelihood of a trouble maker being in attendance compared to a crowd of 20.

Also with increased numbers comes increased chances of people clashing with each other, verbally or physically in the crowd.

I don't know how soccer deals with abuse of referees. I do know that there are far too many loopholes and appeals in GAA when it comes to punishments and sanctions. Instead of sucking it up and taking your medicine, a lot of people's first reaction is to try and get out of the suspension.

There should be zero tolerance to abuse of referees, in any shape or form. Without them, there would simply be no games.

Another win for Bellaghy last night against Ballinderry. Cassidy has them on the brink of a league title, not that the tones were ever bothered about leagues.

If the trend continues into the championship - will it be case of their manager being coveted by others, possibly even in his old role as Derry manager?

That would have been 30 odd years ago roughly Willie got involved with GAA and sent his children to the loup. Fair play to him especially at that time and dealing with any fall out or bad mouthing from those within his own "community". He was able to see the benefits of the community as a whole regardless of religion, and the benefits of being involved in team sports and a community association which the GAA is.

That's why sometimes is annoys me that the GAA has to "reach out" as such, (not saying this is what you mean Dubh driocht) because I would say the vast majority of clubs are more than welcoming to all sorts. There is plenty of families within GAA clubs that don't get on but they still put the shoulder to the wheel for the betterment of the club and local area.  The same approach would apply to those of different denominations, nationalities, race.

Willie probably touched on it with regards to the schools. Pushing Rugby and GAA in all schools (he wasn't too worried about soccer  ) but I suppose we are still a bit away from society removing itself from the catholic primary schools etc.
