Its classic Brolly though. His opinion is fact and that's it. He'll get a couple of newspaper columns out of it now in the next few weeks and he'll be happy enough.

I have watched the video numerous times and I think whilst clumsy McCann was going for the ball and for brolly to say it was premeditated is typical of the man.

I'm the same as most on here. Payne is the best FB in Irish Rugby at the minute and McCloskey the form centre... Why are we doing this?

Also Paddy Jackson not in the squad is scandalous!!

Agree on Payne and McCloskey. If Jackson isn't starting he's not gonna be on the bench. Whether he should be starting or not is another argument but I would like to see him given a couple of starts.

I think Wales by 7-10 points. Obviously I'm hoping not.

Just seen the Cavan team and it is a strong enough outfit and with conditions expected to get bad over next 24/36 hours then they will be a leveller and will suit the men in blue.

This maybe a lot tighter than people expect but I think we scrape him by 2 points - hopefully much more but a tight dogged affair wouldn't surprise me at all.

:) :)

Get this man a column in the Irish news! Well called sir.

You should watch it another time then as McCann was very close to actually picking up the break off the throw in, he missed it and then clattered into Rogers (who by the way come up with such a witty original response on Twitter - so funny). It was certainly reckless and probably worthy of a yellow card in my opinion. Thats my pennys worth anyway. But have to say I am looking forward to another season on the GAA Board where everything that Tyrone do is picked up on and we have about 10 pages debate with Tyronies and ABTs on every single incident.

Just started watching homeland always been aware of it but for some reason never watched it. Got through the first season and a half its excellent. Hearing it tails off in the 3rd series or is that rubbish?
There is a dip but stick with it. The last couple of series have been excellent imo. Well worth hanging in there.

First season was excellent. Up and down after that. But worth a watch.

Jeez thin Dana one must be one of the most annoying characters on tv! Almost season 2 finished enjoying it still.

Les Kiss has them playing good rugby too. Keeping ball in hand at every opportunity it's actually exciting to watch it. Piennar is a class act and Jackson playing well too.

Is the rule: A player cannot be eligible for juvenile football in the same year.
So for example, a player turns 16 on 01/01/2016 can't play adult football in 2016 as they are still a juvenile.

In some clubs there is an attitude that they must get these young lads through to at least reserve level as soon as the are allowed rather than as soon as they are ready, there is a huge difference!

Or is it not the case that they need these young lads to play reserves to make up their numbers?

While I don't think McGuigan was up to the standard of starting on the team I do think he has a point. He and a good few others had worked hard for 6 months. Before the Tyrone team took to the field against Kerry the management took jerseys off two players to give them to Joe McMahon and Dermot Carlin because there was only allowed to be 26 players stripped out. From memory it was said that one player who had a jersey taken off him left then and there. Regardless of the standing of the players who came back in the treatment of the players who lost their shirts was fairly shoddy.

For Harte to refer to the players as a drain on energy was unnecessary. I don't think McGuigan would have said anything on the matter if Harte hadn't reopened the issue.

I think this is the key point here. Whether he is good enough or not for Tyrone is besides the point. Sure McGuigan hadnt said anything in public since his departure and this only came about because Harte brought it up in whatever context he was speaking about. Those giving out about McGuigans response ask yourself if someone said you were a drain on the energy of a squad then what way would you take it and would you not be a little angry about it too?

For the record I am a big fan of Harte and think McGuigan is just below the level of an intercounty footballer but for someone on here to say he is just an average club player is ridiculous.

Think mcguigan is just right standing up for himself. It was an unnecessary dig from Harte and could have done without saying it.

Who's the McHugh from Brackaville that's over Tattyreagh?

Stephen McHugh. Tattyreagh have a decent young side coming through so they'll be expecting to go close next year

He is right in what he is saying but his 2nd to last paragraph is ridiculous! Its the county board who are postponing and cancelling rounds of fixtures which in turn leads to this high training to games ratio!

richie donnelly not in midfield and peter harte not even nominated. thats tells me all i need to know about this selection. a great night a great production but a farce of a process. but sure if it looks good cost a few bob and dosent really reflect whats required its perfect just like garvaghey.

How many Errigal games were you at this year to make that judgement about Petey Harte? No doubt if they had have been nominated/selected for the team then you would be getting wound up about some other omission.
