Do matchroom/sky ever publish their PPV sales? Surely with all the various options in the UK for streaming the fight they couldn't be that good? Plus the cards rarely if ever justify it.

I was just looking at the different odds there for the Euros just to have a bit of extra interest and I seen Ireland were 14/1 to be the lowest scorers in the tournament. Surely worth a few quid that?

I don't think it was a chin issue with Khan last night. A man that much heavier if he connects clean it's lights out. Khan got hit because he lost concentration for a second. There's a clip I seen and his hands were all over the place and canelo seen the opening. I guess Khan still has plenty of options including Garcia and Brook. I still fancy him to beat Brook for some reason. The thing I don't understand with Khan he's too busy chasing big fights and just doesn't get himself in the ring. Not every fight has to be this mega fight just get in the ring and fight (obviously boxing politics may come into it I don't know).

Canelo v GGG may be the next mayweather v pacqaio (sp) in that will it ever be made while they are both in their prime. I would say canelo does want it but Oscar DLH may not want to risk his Mexican cash cow!

Hard to beat a league game on a Friday always seems a better atmosphere with them too. I know it doesn't suit a lot of fixtures but was always a fan of them.

On another note, was chatting to a lad from Edendork last Sunday who was telling me Morgan is in awesome form outfield for them. He was saying he's quite a quiet lad off the pitch but people think he's arrogant on the pitch.

He got injured in the first league game so he must have been pretty awesome in that short period he was playing!

The thing is, you cant have it both ways.
You cant expect to compete at the top level of your sport (be that inter county or club) and not take it seriously, or not make sacrifices.
That's just the way it is, its that hard work that makes success all the more sweet.
As AZ says there are different levels to play at if all you want is come out and play a bit on a sunday.

I would agree with you there to a certain extent. However say in Tyrone (where I have actually ended up myself so see what is going on), where does the lad who just wants a game of football go if he is from a Dromore, Carrickmore, Clonoe etc? I know he would have very little chance of getting a game of football if he just turned up on a Sunday looking to play a bit of reserves. Even if you go to Division 2 its the same thing.

Don't get me wrong to achieve any success at club level now , sacrifices have to be made whether with home or working life and I'm not disputing that. I think the article does have some valid points but goes over the top in other areas.

Burns would make any club team in Tyrone. And as for goalkeepers I don't think there's any real outstanding club goalkeeper from what I have seen the past few years. Who would you call up instead of fox?

Was also just thinking to myself there would PJ be one of the last tradesmen to play for the county? They where the norm years ago but the demands of the game mean that they are an endangered species which is a sad IMO!
