Nah don't like the cut of that

That isn't why most people wanna play computer games

Completely disagree, I know your a Sony fanboy but why have they come with their own take on it then? Nintendo and games like guitar hero have proved that there is a big market for this interactivity. It won't completely replace the regular controller but it does pitch them into the Wii's more casual/family market.

I spoke to a journalist mate who was at the E3 conference and everyone is raving about this. Sony's solution is less impressive but what strikes me about them is the ability to play in 3 dimensions (instead of swinging your arms on the Wii), for example if you step forward, the avatar/character moves forward too. From a technical point of view it's miles ahead of the Wii.

I for one found it very informative, never knew that black widow catapult could come in handy if the Taleban decide to attack with rpg's and ak47's  ::)

Did anyone notice the state of the art computer simulation programme was an excel workbook?

QuoteThe bit that takes the biscuit form me is where he states that Ferguson must be congratulated for "having pipped Liverpool to the title for the first time in his career".    lol   Don't write on an empty head Kenny!

Is it his fault you a)totally misinterpreted or b) did not read the whole article?

He was on about the top two teams in England being involved in the Premiership title race for the first time since its conception. gain, not his fault if you were unable to pick up on this.

I neither misread, nor misinterpreted anything Corn.  His article was as equivalent to a drunken argument in a pub attempting to score worthless but crowd pleasing points that supporters of the downtrodden team attempt to conjure up to try to convince those who will listen "the only reason they won is because..." etc.

Absolute cringeworthy journalism and I'd say that if a journo who wouldnt come out an openly admit he was a united fan had written something simliar in 1984.

He made a point about it being the first time the supposed top two teams in England were in a title race, how long a wait it has been, yet you interpreted that as bitterness, surely a misinterpretation?

So his point is that all the other times don't count as Liverpool were sh1te and Fergie/Utd stuffed them? While I can't be bothered with whole analysis of what went wrong/should Rafa been more gracious/gloating crap, I do hate poor journalism.

It can't be interpreted in any other way as bitterness in my book. Also your argument that it's the first time the 2 top teams in England were in a title race doesnt really stand up either. Surely the top 2 teams last season were Utd and Chelsea? or the top 2 teams should be based on current/present success?

If it was based on the ego's of fans, then Newcastle would be top then. On that note I hope the toon army end up in the championship.

I wouldnt ban anyone. this should be an open forum.

Yeah open to discuss whatever you want (within reason), it's become a bit of a police state round here with the mods deleting threads.

Also bring back anonymous posting, might help stop certain people using the board as some sort of social networking site.

Sorry last two posters, I don;t know the techncial stuff..

Anyway,
I have noticed that the new controllers have a crappy trigger button (r1 on playstation0. Seeing as I only play Pro Ev is makes sprinting difficult, is there anywhere you can order the original joypads?

They have always had them on the xbox, the PS3 has followed suit as well.

Sorry if this has already been covered but I just read in the paper that those Robinson c**ts ate £30,000 of food at the taxpayers expense last year, greedy f**king pigs!!!

Nail on the head.  Slimy Pete came out with some oul guff that it equated to 'only' £78 a day for food (over 365 days, remember).

1. If it was £78 a day for five days in London divided by 2, then you could just about get away with it, but these two sit in Stormont AND were still getting paid when that farce of a parliament was suspended.  They weren't in London five days a week, I'd say two days a week is nearer the mark.  Add in the generous holiday entitlement MPs get and that takes a big chunk outta the year.  Divide the £30,000 they got by the correct number of days and it is an absolute disgrace.

2. Why the f**k should we pay for the food of people earning £600k a year between them?

3. They are - especially her - walking skeletons... are you telling me they ate that amount of food? Balls...
I think the maximum 'allowance' is £400/month for food. Receipts aren't required. They've just claimed the full amount by the look of it.

And yes, the £73 per week is a red herring. Firstly, is there not over 100 days in the year when parliment is on holiday? Secondly, as you have pointed out they also have jobs over here that they're paid for - again, surely limiting the time they have to spend in London.

This is what fcuks me off, it's not an expense if you cannot justify the claim. They were treating it as some sort of per diem.

thinking of purchasing a new laptop - basically will be using alot of excel and word, although will surf the net occasionally, must be wireless will not be downloading any massive files, barring the odd pdf forms or somthing to that effect.

not looking to spend a fortune, but want somthing that will last a wile an is good

any ideas?

Most laptops would fit that description

Not entirely true. If your going to be opening large excel workbooks then I would reccomend a large screen (widescreen also) and possibley look at the processor spec. If you want to use it as a desktop replacement then go for a 17inch.
