Yes it was a square ball....but how many steps were taken for the Kildare goal? For me both goals should have been disallowed which would have ended with the same result.
As for the referee, if anything I though he treated Down more harshly than Kildare....but to be fair I dont think he had any real influence in the result.
Down were the better side, clear to be seen and I for one hope they go all the way now and win it. They have played the best football this year IMO.
Kildare played well but are still missing something. They are well organised, very big and pyhsical and have their fair share of talent. Mobility perhaps? McGeeney has brought them on well since he took over, I just wonder has he done as much as he can? I think he should get another year at it anyway and if he can keep Doyle and Early fit and on the panel they should still be there or there abouts.

Congrats to Down....hope yous can go on and win it now and keep your AI final record in tact!

This will be a very unpopular comment with the Tirronies....but I think Sean Cavanagh is the most overratted footballer in the country. I think he always pops up with a score or two at the end of a match when Tyrone have already won which makes it look like he scores a lot. He is rarely if ever the player to dig Tyrone out of a tight game like today...in the past it has been players like Dooher, McGinley, Canavan, both McMahons etc who could dig deep against tough opposition but to me Cavanagh only shines against poor oppostion or when a match is already won.

Did you watch the AIF 2008? When Cavanagh is not there, Tyrone are a poorer side.

As I said only my opinion and knew it wouldnt be a popular comment with our red hand neighbours but I stick by it. When Tyrone are playing well Cavanagh does well enough, but I dont think I've ever seen a game where Cavanagh took a game by the scruff when Tyrone weren't doing well. I just think he's overrated, I dont mean to say he's a bad footballer. I just dont understand how he gets such high plaudits....what did he do today to deserve the full 70 while Penrose was taken off? What happened to that lad ONeill by the way, Sean is it? Last time I saw him thought he was class.

I must admit, I didnt see that coming. Down were fantastic today, great work ethic, well organised and shortage of skill. Marty Clarke was head and shoulders the best player on show today in both games.
No-one will want to play yous now after that, I hope yous can keep up that intensity because if you can, I think an all-ireland is there for the taking now.
Good luck for the rest of the year and well done!

Are you for real?
Would you rather have him or Bernard Brogan in your team?

Brogan had a good game, dont get me wrong, but Clarke was unbelievable today. He was back defending inside his own 21, taking frees, scoring from play (particularly the first half point near the end line) his tackling, passing....dont think he put a foot wrong and IMO he was the glue today that held that Down team in place. If it was a straight choice between Clarke and Brogan...based on today's games, Clarke without a doubt.

Just a couple of things I'd like to add, while this was a great result for Dublin by finally getting the Tyrone bogey off their back in the championship, I cant see them go on to win the all-ireland. They are too reliant on one forward for scores (and being a Derry man I know a wee bit about that). Dublin have improved immensely under the new management I think, but I also think they'll need another year or two to gel properly as a team to seriously push for sam.

For such a big player he wins very little primary posession and seems to fall at the drop of a hat. He was awful today and if any other player had hit as many wides he'd have been off. Yet Penrose, who I thought was the most dangerous forward tyrone had, was taken off!

Only my opinion!

I had Tryone as favs for AI this year, but I cant see Dublin win it...my money would be on Down after today!

Down, simply because today has been the best football I've seen all year by far.
I like the way they played and the intensity they played with...it was a real team performance.
After them, Cork probably but based on the way the played last time out I wouldn't be surprised if they got beat the mara.

watched The Road last night. Captured the book perfectly. Very dark.
The innocence of the boy was inspiring - had a tear in my eye at the end.....

Yup, great show....very grim, very dark, very close to the book.
The boy was a great wee actor.

The Oak Leafers will bate them orangemen by a huge 1 point!
It's 50-50, but I'm gonna go with Derry for home advantage.

What is the actual thinking behind not eating meat on Good Friday? I mean where did this idea come from?
I heard a story, dont know if its true, but it goes that at some point the fishermen of Italy/Rome were in financial ruin. So the Vatican decreed that every friday you had to eat fish and not meat to bolster the fishing industry. Could be a loada beezwax but just wondering what the real story is.

Just after reading The Road... holy jaysus it was an exprience!  Very hard to put down and some of the imagery in it would turn your stomach.  But a serious read none the less

It's a grim read alright and compelling to the end. Leaves you stunned at the end.
Recently read Blacklands by Belinda Bauer...really good read too. Its about a cub who starts writing to a child serial killer to try to find out where he buried his dead child uncle. I good read.

This indicates a corrupt registry.
Note easy fixed (and indeed might not be fixable at all) unless you know what you're doing.
Easiest option would be to re-install your operating system from your system discs.

I find avg slows the system down too, particularly when running scans.
One I have been using is called avast.
It's very good.

Anyone found a good download site for this?
I've heard a lot of good things about The Wire too but never seen it. Anyone know where I can download this from either?
