Can't believe it, O'Toole, Dunphy et al were all set to save the country but "ah sorry lads the elections too early, I have too many things on this month to be running for government."

Maybe its not that important to them after all  :-\
Yeah, read O'Toole's column in The Irish Times on Saturday - very poor of them. Reckoned they wouldn't have time to mobilise with the date being brought forward. Which is just rubbish, given the 'new media' platforms available. I reckon they could have had someone elected in any constituency they ran in - and probably would have picked up votes from people who would/will otherwise stay at home.

The chattering classes never do anything other than talk ( sh1te mainly) :D

GAA Discussion / NFL Division 4 2011
January 30, 2011, 08:42:59 PM
Anyone any interest in this ?
There is only one thing to do - and that is get out of this Division straight away.
Fermanagh will be the biggest obstacle with Laythrum and Longford being their usual un neighbourly selves when it comes to anything Roscommon .   :D>:(
Of course if Wicklow are prepared to spend .... their manager might suddenly get very interested in the League for a change and also make it difficult for us.
I'm hopeful we can get one of the promotion slots and an oul outing in Croke Park.

GAA Discussion / Re: O'Byrne Cup 2011

Thought this thread was about the O'Byrne Cup  ::)
That game tonight was only the final of the losers tournament. :)
Meath need to get rid of that oul pukey short passing they've been saddled with by Banty and play to their strengths.
As for the Dublin lads posing with their 2 layers of shirts...... ffs are they gone totally overboard with nonsense.

At this stage I suspect Labour are scared of their lives that FG mightn't need them to form a Govt . :o
FF are talking about backing a minority FG govt , which I believe is a tactic to get Blueshirt voters to transfer to the FFers.
Meanwhile Labour could lose lots of potential seats to SF and various shades of lefties.

I don'e like soccer while I absolutely detest rugby.
I was totally in favour of the amendment to the rules to allow International Soccer and Rugby in Croke Pk while their ground was closed.

I am not backward , reactionary or narrow minded.
I will admit to being uncool though as jeans, sweatshirt and anorak are my favourite outfits :D

Is Laoishite  one of those media brainwashed gobdaws who thinks liking soccer and rugby is somehow modern/trendy/liberal/progressive/broad minded while those of us who don't like either or both of those silly games are old fashioned/uncool/reactionary/backward/narrow minded ??

Wasn't Kelly the man who fell like he was shot and had a Kildare player sent off in a Leinster Final ( 2003?)?

It's great form, OK to remember a single indiscretion in a distinguished career on an occasion like this.

A fine player. Best of luck to him.

Says more about Rossfan than Tom Kelly IMO

I never dived in a Provincial Final. ;)

That puts Lenihan in his place

Antrim and Louth are both in Ireland while London is in England .. look it up on a map  ;D
As for Houses of Commons and Dáils and the likes --- temporary political phenomenons  :D

My God, page three of the discussion board and the new leader was elected nearly an hour ago.

It was Mick Martin as the bookies presumed.  Does anyone care?

Obviously not.

Don't know why he got the job ( apart from looking at the other 3  :D)... he was there for the irresponsible Bertiebolox years too.
