Indian nationals had the highest median weekly earnings last year, at €862.14, according to the Central Statistics Office. However it was the only group among individually listed nationalities that saw a decrease, as those earnings were down 1.6pc on 2024

Next were UK nationals at €814.30, while median weekly earnings among Irish nationals stood at €792.89 in 2025, up 4pc.  Brazilian nationals working in Ireland had a 5.6pc increase in weekly earnings.

"It is possible that the decrease in median weekly earnings among Indian nationals was linked to the decrease in the proportion of employments in Human Health & Social Work, Information & Communication, and Professional, Scientific & Technical Activities since 2024, as these are typically high-earning economic sectors," the CSO said.
