The Friday evenings games seemed to work well especially during those long May/June evenings - It meant that players could enjoy their weekends with families & friends

Going by the county fixture calendar my guess is that its going to be either the beginning or mid May ACL start.  There are 7 teams in intermediate with Co representation (Aghayaran, Clogher, Edendork, Eglish, Galbally,Pomeroy, Owen Roes), then 12 Teams with Co representatives in Div 1 with Moy, Omagh & Loughmacrory, Killyclogher only having 1 each with Clonoe, Greencastle, Moortown having none. I wonder will the CCC go for a 6 starred game option this year or will it revert back to the 5? Will we see the reintroduction of pre-season competitions like the Jim Devlin/McGarrity cup? Will we know anything before the end of February?

Worked well for senior players not reserves. Reserve football was a shamble last year. Players trying to get out of work and to a certain location for 6.45, usually required to be there at 6 for w warm up. I know in my own club of few players that had to miss games due to work

I think its been talked to death already but a big improvement in Tyrone would be to play Reserves as stand alone fixture and give them their own route to promotion/relegation like they do in other counties.

Saturday Games at 1 and 3

Who is Gormely touted to be managing, seeing as both the 3rds teams are in the bottom half of division 3 it's one of Drumquin, Brackaville, killyman, brocagh, fintona, clan na gael or glenelly ?

Whats the story with the league format next year. is it staying 1,2,3 or is it going to the previously discussed format of 4 divisions?

overall I paid £123 for 18 streamed games (including 5 double headers) which worked out at £6.83 per game for me, so it pays to buy a good few in the earlier rounds in order to bring the average cost down when it comes to the finals.

Welcome to the board skinno

I'm a Down man but I was looking forward to watching the Tyrone final until I seen this £16 price for a stream. Scandalous! So many outside Tyrone enjoy your championship and a reasonably priced stream would have likely attracted a couple of thousand additional purchases. Not at this price. Disappointed I'll not see it myself. And as for rejecting TG4 and the chance for the whole island to see your showpiece game, ridiculous.

Worth mentioning that Tyrone wans abroad would not be able to see the final on tg4. They will be able to get it through Tyrone tv now though.

That is a fair point and it does highlight the benefit of the live streaming, it's really just the pricing that is the issue. Especially after their own spokesman basically acknowledged that the cost of living has risen for everyone whenever he was making some sort of ham-fisted attempt to justify the price.

The Down final was very well attended, and was also streamed at £8.

How did Down County teams do this year. July exit was it.

Your right, down are clearly not a good county team because they charge 8 quid to stream their county final.... Catch yourself on

Sf basically some people will say anything against it no matter what. Is it disappointing we are still when we are? Yes. However it is still a huge improvement.

Lines come out like "it'll never be over". Ridiculous.

Well, since 90+% have been vaccinated,  rates still sky high, and they're drip feeding you info that there'll be a 3rd, 4th, 5th, 50th jab... it doesn't sound like this will go away to me. And it won't be. It could, but it won't.

Absolute nonsense.

Well as stated earlier, Israel are preparing for a 4th dose. Doesn't sound like it's going away does it? Maybe you just don't want to tell yourself that.

So If the Vaccine does not completely eradicate Covid then its useless?

I agree - although I think Teague was on the panel last year, he just didn't get any game time.

There maybe some changes in personnel on the outer fringes of the panel but it is going to be very difficult to break into a 26 man match day panel when you consider that the AI final 26 men didn't include Rory Brennan, Richie Donnelly or Lee Brennan. On top of that there were another 8/10 lads who were involved also got training purposes and in house games. Total was 40/42.

There is some brilliant talent in the county not involved in the county set up, exceptional to be honest but it takes a serious commitment to play or stay involved with a county team when you are not getting much game time. The effort required nowadays is basically full time - therein lies the problem.

In all honesty what have Richie Donnelly or Lee ever done at senior inter county level, for it to be a surprise they aren't making the 26?

Maguire was poor on Sat after being rushed back from injury, average too last night but in general is in the very top tier of Premier League centre backs...

He's not as bad as some posters on here let on but he's also not in the top tier of premier league center backs. Not great on the ball and turns like a bus.

Which ever one is working in Dromore, heard he is a decent enough player albeit a little slow.

I'm not sure. I think CB is the problem. If you had two top level centre backs the midfield would't be as much of an issue. What other top team in Europe wold Maguire of Lindilof get playing for?

Maguire at fault at the weekend for Leicester's first and again last night for the goal from the corner..

Look back at all the successful teams Utd had and they always had an excellent CB pairing.

Maguire and Varane should be a top level center back partnership, If there was a decent holding midfielder in front of them I think it would make a world of difference
