So we're out if we're beat tomorrow after that Donegal result? Maybe that will sharpen the minds. In saying that if we can't beat Clare at home we'll be deservedly out on our holes.

Quote from: AustinPowers on May 31, 2024, 06:31:00 PMHow about when a team   comes over the half way line , they have a certain amount  of time to  get a shot off, say 15/20 seconds

It would  cut out all this  sideways and backwards handpasses , and basically teams pissing about  with the ball , and getting  nowhere. While the rest  of us lose the will to live

Defending team gets their 15 men behind the ball and keeps the attacking team out for the 15/20 seconds and they get the ball back. Repeat for 70 minutes.

Quote from: tiempo on May 30, 2024, 10:13:29 AMFound it notable the turnover in players between minor and U20 in recent years

Very few of the minor team who lost to Meath were playing in the recent U20 win, with a number of starters not even on the panel, in effect a very young U20 team with some only finished up at MacRory

Similar a few years ago when McHugh was MF on the winning U20 team 3 years before his final year

How is it that 17-18-19yos are significantly outnumbering 20yos on the 20s team?

Fall off between 20s and Senior is to be expected, but seems a gap between minor and 20s

There is some serious talent coming through at the moment but Senior mgmt is the big ticket item on the horizon, the right appointment is critical, no idea who would be best
Any notable omissions that come to mind? Guessing Strain would be the main one

From what I can see only 3 of the starting 15 from the u17s in 2021 weren't in the squad for the recent win.

Agree on next senior management it's hard to see any candidates that are banging down the door to be next in line. Even Tally has done his best work as a coach not as manager.

Didn't know fleadhs and weddings were grounds to have games called off.

Quote from: thewobbler on May 25, 2024, 08:48:15 PMThe year is 2038.

Tyrone are tailing off in a tight affair.

There's 15 mins to go.

Cathal McShane comes on.

Tyrone continue tailing off.

And Tyrones sole attacking game plan will still be centred on an offspring of the Canavans trying to beat 3 men and hoping he comes up with a bit of magic.

When Donegal got the gallop up we were absolutely miles of the pace. Only for some last ditch defending we could have got an even worse beating. That was a shocker of a 2nd half.

Quote from: Tyrone11234 on May 24, 2024, 10:50:22 PMMoortown good win over derrylaughan. Kildress also comprehensive win over beragh

Have plenty of time for the Beragh club but absolutely delighted to see Conor Gormley getting a nice hammering in Gortacladdy this evening in first game!

There's have been no motivation required for the Kildress lads the way that management scenario played out.

Interview with Feargal Logan on BBC. Hopefully well on his way to recovery.

Quote from: An Watcher on May 24, 2024, 03:34:48 PMMckernan has been impressive but he is prone to the odd silly moment as well such as taking that shot on v donegal while in the corner.  Cut those out and we've a top class performer

Yeah he does sometimes take too much out of the ball. I seen Dooher tear a few strips off him at various times in that Donegal match.

I'd be surprised if McBrearty started for Donegal. I have been very impressed with Mogan so maybe Daly will get that job. Hampsey to go on Gallen, O'Donnell to track McHugh and the 2 x O'Donnells will need watched. Niall Devlin will probably take one of them. McKernan is key to us going forward he has been seriously impressive this year.

I'd be surprised too but he did last until the last 3 minutes of extra time of the semi final v Donegal despite doing very little.

Not sure if R Canavan will start maybe Oguz or Harte will come in for him.

Leaking that your sacking your manager 24 hours before a cup final is a maybe a good omen. Didn't Van Gaal win the cup a few years ago knowing he was getting the P45?

Quote from: twohands!!! on May 24, 2024, 08:21:41 AMThings getting somewhat desperate by the sounds of it.

I would be gobsmacked if there is any meaningful response to the letter from Rishi and friends.

There's only one place that letter has ended up in and thats the bin. Its not a problem for the Tories any more. They'll be leaving that for Labour to sort in 6 weeks time amongst other things.

Quote from: Truthsayer on May 23, 2024, 10:10:44 PMSeems a sound lad too. Seen him finish on three treble tops recently (maybe was old footage, was outrageous!)
Boy wonder Josh Rock kind of slid off the heights...

The 3 x double tops to finish the 120 was last week. Never seen anyone do that before.

The others are having to raise their game to even compete with him never mind beat him at the minute.
