I could not care less what you think. That ridiculous picture below your ridiculous name sums up the type of person you are -- A good for nothing, insignificant, bitter little person.
Agreed.

I was actually expecting Chelsea to be better. They didnt look like scoring for most of the game, but Liverpool gave them the goals in the end so it didnt matter. No doubt Drogba is the biggest cheat in football. There is nobody in top level world football who feigns injury even close to as much as Drogba.

I think Carvalho is class. Usually completely covers up Terry's inadequacies.

Turned out to be a mistake by Liverpool to play Riera ahead of Benayoun.

Sure Drogba is nothing new. To be honest he had cleaned up his act rightly the year, and you seen JT having a word with him today.

However Hound why did you not come on and comment on Mascherano, and Lucas' dives?

I would agree with you that Mascherano blatantly dived, it was pretty disgraceful. I'm not a big fan of mascherano myself but I don't think Lucas did. I know the incident you're on about and I don't think he dived, there was only very slight contact but he was going at speed and off balance.

I was hoping liverpool would win this one because Chelsea are the biggest threat to united retaining the title along with Arsenal. Liverpools title dreams appear to be over as they have now lost three gamesand we are only in the first week of October.

Carraher was shocking today, what ahs happened to him?

Torres seemed to have wing mirrors the day, he must hate the site of Terry altogether.

Finally Liverpol were a por second best today, they have no depth and Benayoun should have started, he was about the only creative player they had. Durt Kuyt is woeful and wouldnt get his place on the current Leeds side.

Shows you know absolutely nothing about football.

Ha.
Good to see the Pool fans in full affect. No one mentioning the ref not booking Torres for a late, late stud raker on Terry, and Macscherano, and Lucas's dives.

Or the ref not booking Ivanovic for his late challenge on Torres!

Hilario is a clown!!!

The clown is having a quer laugh the night!

Where is the thread title change chaps??

Thought it was a bit of a stupid bating title myself anyway.

I think chasing the game didn't suit Liverpool, they never looked that threatening. However, I wouldn't say it was such a bad performance. Liverpool went there set-up not to lose and I think all of us would have taken a draw before the game. Up until that terrible mistake from Mascherano I think there was very little between the teams and Liverpool were doing enough to earn a point and who knows they may have knicked it if they could have kept it like that.

I think after going 1-0 down Liverpool played their poorest football, misplaced passes and it was very difficult to break Chelsea down. Torres was generally kept very quiet all day and I was disappointed with Gerard not least for his poor corners. I thought Lucas was steady as was Insua despite my earlier reservations. I would agree with someone earlier, I think Carragher is struggling and we need Agger back fully fit soon.

Many will no doubt be putting undue significance on this defeat and saying that Liverpool are out of the title race already. Thats absolutely crazy to claim after 8 games.

Our record against the others in the 'big 4' was exceptional last year and there was no way it was going to be repeated this year, doing the double over Chelsea and United last year wasn't going to happen again. But Liverpool will pick up far more points against the lower table teams. Last year, I think United gained 4 points against the 'big 4' but they also got 58 points out of 60 aganst the bottom half of the table.

I hear Sky saying that no team has ever lost 3 out of their first 8 games and won the title, well until last year no team had ever only lost two games and not won the title. Definitely not out of it, can't have any slip-ups against the crap teams now and probably need to beat United at the end of the month.

That was coming. Game over, season over.

I think you're being a little over-dramatic!

Right Drogba is starting to take the piss now.

Thats unbelievable.

Masch was without doubt Liverpools best player today up until now, but that is just an absolutely criminal mistake. You wouldn't expect that from Lucas. There was no need to try and take the man on there.

Ref fairly one-sided. Drogba's free in the corner, Mascherano on Deco. Several frees not given for liverpool

Yeah, I think Masch has been hard done by on a couple of occasions. Not to mention the stonewall penalty for Drogba pulling down Skrtel at that corner.

Referee letting a lot go early on. Two blatant handballs from Ballack already.

I'm a little worried about Insua at left-back today, I think Chelsea will target that position. I know he's still a bit rusty but would have far rathered Aurelio in there.

What about Lucas, he'll be one of chelsea's best players today. >:(

I think thats harsh. One of Lucas' best performances last year was away to United in the 4-1 game. I'm actually comfortable enough with his inclusion in the big games. Yes, his touch can be poor and he won't offer much going forward but I think defensively he can bring a lot to midfield in a game like this where Liverpool are going to be on the backfoot for much of the game.

Now that I've said all that he'll probably give away a ridiculously clumsy penalty and it'll finish 1-0 to Chelsea.
