Excellent Live though much more laid back than he used to be.  Have seen him a few times.  Last time it was a fairly small gig 600 - 700 people and he had great interaction with the audience which usen't be he style.  Much more chilled out - as long as the crowd are respectful.

Ian Dempsey had a poll on his show this morning to find the greatest Irish sportsperson. Harrington came second to Sean Kelly (the cyclist ... not the ex GAA President!!).  I suppose for many Harrington will have to sustain top form over a longer period to earn the title of best Irish Sportsperson, but he must be nearly there.

And Peter robinson will want a new stadium in Belfast for soccer, rugby and gaa games - ffs

Have got to know Paul myself over the last couple of years through work.  Hope he makes a full recovery.  When he does it will be difficult for him and his family as he is self employed.  Get well soon Paul

A man met a beautiful blonde lady and decided he wanted to marry her right away. She said, "But we don't know anything about each other." He said, "That's all right, we'll learn about each other as we go along."

So she consented, they were married, and off they went on a honeymoon at a very nice resort.  One morning they were lying by the pool, when he got up off of his towel, climbed up to the 10 metre diving board and did a two and a half tuck, followed by three rotations in the pike position, at which point he straightened out and cut the water like a knife. After a few more demonstrations, he came back and lay down on the towel.

She said, "That was incredible!" He said, "I used to be an Olympic diving champion. You see, I told you we'd learn more about each other as we went along."

So she got up, jumped in the pool and started doing laps. After seventy-five laps she climbed out of the pool, lay down on her towel and was hardly out of breath. He said, "That was incredible! Were you an Olympic endurance swimmer?"

"No," she said, "I was a prostitute in Liverpool but I worked both sides of the river."

GAA Discussion / Re: Mayo Player Illness

Best of Luck to Ronan and I hope he has a speedy recovery.

On the broader issue of Testicular Cancer it seems to be coming more and more popular in male athletes especially field sports such as soccer and GAA.  Seen the article a few weeks back on the Connaught Telegraph of a local Junior soccer player who also suffered from Testicular cancer - thankfully he is well on the road to recovery - aged just 28/29.

What is the cause of this worrying trend? Is it the knocks guys are picking up or something as simple as the sportswear they are using?
