A very poor response Eddie. Would ye just buiild a feckin statue like every other County? Have you something against Nicky Rackard?

Poor response? Balanced and reasoned explaining that the Public finances are shot! I think naming the bridge which is probably one of the most famous structures in the South East is far more honouring, I am surprised by the sheer lack of economic knowledge shown here, you can't build what you can't afford! (that's what got us into this economic mess)
Whether times are good or bad, you could always use the argument about "better things to be spending the money on". If that was accepted, there would never be any public monuments built.
Was there a specific spot proposed for it? I'm not that familiar with Wexford Town, but from what I remember the town centre is tight and twisty with not a lot of open space.

Ok lads Me and my mate are heading to the States for the summer. Were talking with a Boston Hurling Club about playing for them but they haven't got back to us. What's the deal regarding games, registration etc. When is the championship on?

Any hurling clubs in Boston looking players PM me.

Cheers
You have mail.

Anyone at the hurling sevens in New York this past weekend?
I know Offaly (NY) beat Fr. Tom's (Boston) in the final.

All the sports teams out here , NFL, MLB etc, have a General Manager (GM) whose role is similar to what's generally described as "Director of Football" in European soccer terms.
Basically Lalas would handle the signing of players and general club infrastructure stuff, while Yallop just manages the first team.

I think Visualization is the best thing to calm yourself.
It helps you get focused on the game and gets your head in the right place.
Just picture yourself doing simple things right during the game.
Getting out in front of the man, laying off a good pass to a free man, blocking, fielding, whatever.
You don't have to imagine a 60 yard solo followed by lashing over the winner from the sideline, because that won't help you as you know it's not likely to happen.
Focus on the things you know you're capable of doing and picture yourself doing them right over and over again until it feels like second nature.
Good performances are built on all the simple things being done right, if you concentrate on these things before the game, you're less likely to fumble the first ball that comes your way.

That Melba's was one quare rough joint. Got a belt off a flying bottle there one night.
Just collateral damage so.
Count yourself lucky you didn't get asked to choose a side in one of the inter-parish c**k waving contests held there most weekends, sometimes extra time was required to decide a winner, resulting in the stretch from melba's to wondermac's seeming more like the Gaza strip.

Ah, the memories!

Seriously??  I think it's a terrible website now - before it was extremely simple, and you could effectively read the paper without having to give O'Reilly a penny, now there are a few stories from the day's paper there, but by and large there are only the older stories.
BTW, anyone know where the archive section is?
Maybe I'm just getting too old and can't cope with change anymore!!

???
If you click on the "Today's Paper" link while on the "News" tab in the menu doesn't that take you to all the stories from that day's paper?
Granted, I'm living abroad so I can't compare what's on the site to what's in the hardcopy, but it seems like there's plenty of content there.
There's also an option then for "Previous Issue" to show the previous day's stories.

As for the Archive, if the "Previous Issue" option above doesn't give you what you need, you can click on "Advanced Search" on the top right and use that to find what you're looking for. It doesn't seem to have an option to go back to a specific day's paper anymore though, which it did have before, right?

I can't believe I'm actually defending D'Indo...  :o

If it does, then take it back to the store and ask for a new disc.

No sign of availability of bainisteoir for download yet. Us abroad will have to wait a while.

F:\Install
Data error (cyclic redundancy check).

I've heard lots of bad things about Vista, but typically that error just refers to corrupt data.
Check whether the disc is scratched, it shouldn't be as it's new, but try giving it a polish.
Try the disc in another drive and see if the same thing happens. If it does, then take it back to the store and ask for a new disc.

Hard not to think of the captain of the Titanic going down with the ship roaring "nothing wrong here boys, it's that fecking iceberg!" :)

:D
I'd say it's more like an ould one upgrading from a Micra to a Lexus and still only using it for her weekly run down to Tescos.

There ya go, ya big moaner.
I like the indos new website, I think it's much easier to find everything.
If that link was pointing at an older article before, that's down to their content management, not necessarily their site design.

Cheers easytiger. Was out that way at the weekend and took your advice. Saw the Galway-Leitrim, Tipp-Limerick (without the extra-time - they didn't show that for some reason) and Dublin-Offaly games. Great coverage. I was pleasantly surprised at how watchable it was on a little laptop screen. Its a great service, considering the games available to watch again in the archive.

Whatever about the football, but is hurling really watchable over a stream?
I'd have thought that the sliotar would be barely visible...
I looked at the samples on the setanta site and didn't think it would be up to a hurling match.

As you mentioned below AZ, Offaly's performances against Limerick this last two years are not good indicators.  But you never know.

That's the big fear, that Offaly will just collapse again and send us back to square 1.
We need to start hard and fast to take advantage of any tiredness in the Tipp lads and don't let Tipp ease their way into the game.
Offaly forwards need to step it up from the last day and the half forward line needs to do better from our own puckouts.
I'm optimistic about this, could be a big game for these lads were they to win it.

I wouldn't be too worried about the venue, there should be a decent Offaly crowd there, hopefully, and Thurles is the kind of venue that can inspire a team.

i predeict sixth in the league next year and no silverware.

And which two top class teams are going to overtake them in the league?
Tottenham? Bolton? Everton?

I think my money would still be on the gunners finishing ahead of any of that sad shower.
