Rewatched die hard, having not seen it for ages, still a clinker

Great entertainment.  Memorable one liners. Willis and Rickman were brilliant.

The one liners are just brilliant, not to many movies coming out like that now. Personal favourite is when he fires the body onto the police car "welcome to the party pal"

Movies are instantly forgettable these days . Actors have no charisma now . It's just all buffed up  Clones who all look the same .

I'd agree.
I can't remember the last movie that I'd have been chomping at the bit to see at the cinema.
Some good movies, but nothing like Shawshank, Die Hard, Pulp Fiction.....there's nothing new that you could say will be a movie you'd watch again.

I found recently you hear rave reviews about something and it's this and it's that, and when you go and see it it's fairly average. There are still good movies out there but a lot of what critics are lauding is average or below average.

An Watcher

Top Gun Maverick was the best I seen at the cinema in a long long time.

This film fits '03,05,08's' point exactly in my eyes. Looking forward to it for months and heard some amazing reviews, but thought it was just OK.

I've yet to  see a good film with Tam Cruise in it

Come off it. You might not like the man but he's been in some belters:

The Color of Money
Born on the Fourth of July
Rain Man
Top Gun Maverick
A Few Good Men
The MI series
Collateral
Magnolia
The Firm

Don't know about this Tam Cruise bloke, but Tom Cruise has been in a few decent movies (exceptions rather than the rule, in fairness):

Collateral
Magnolia
A Few Good Men
Interview with the Vampire

First MI  was watchable  i suppose.  Tried to watch top gun once, couldn't finish it. Can't abide rain man

Vampire film was brutal. As was tropic thunder

First Mission Impossible was good, rest been poor. I love most of his films though.

i say this regularly - tom cruise is a knob but is in some great films. minority report great too.

i thought first mi was rubbish. The later ones have been good though.

Milltown Row2

I don't think he's a great actor to be fair, but he's been in some very good films, the problem is he's generally the lead and has to try and carry the film..

The Outsiders for us older folk looking back was a great film of the day, which spawned many a good actor. IF he wasn't the lead he'd be better I feel, but he's a bit like Ronaldo if ya know what I mean.

The wife will not watch a film with him in it lol

What, the second  one with the masks and the voice altering  ? Jesus that was awful

It was shit too lol. From 3 on. The one with Thandie Newton and Doug Ray Scott was very good I thought.
