The lead after 3 rounds (so far) is 8 under. That doesn't suggest an easy course.

Maybe some of late guys today will tear it up and prove you right.

But when a links specialist just about sees off two fantastic golfers who've been knocking on the door for a few years, whilst the world no.1 is in hot pursuit - I'd say that's as good a tournament as we could hope for.

Links golf by nature involves a little luck. When it goes your way you can shoot the lights out. But you can't find luck for four consecutive days. You have to earn it.

Now. How do we get 10 links competitions per year on the rota?
