Still 7. Surely they'll leave it at that now. Most people would have arrangements made at this stage.

anyone got access to a family ticket for ulster final.
genuine family in need.
many thanks.

There are four of us heading down to the game and we had intended to come back up the road after the game.  We are now half thinking about staying down.  I called Days, Tullamore Court and the Bridge hotels yesterday and they are all booked much as I expected.  Can any of our Biffo friends recommend anywhere else to stay?

Unfortunately there's a shindig by the name of the Phoenix Festival (Arts, balloons and stuff) in town this weekend so you'll do well to find anything. You may have to go through the b&b list in the phone book, but as it's so local I couldn't recommend anything since I wouldn't have stayed in anything myself.

I've put the word around the office here, I'll get back to you if anything comes up. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

If its anything like the Mary Margaret we in Down know, the bar will never close ;D

miss mess

Unfortunately there is no bar.  That was the first thing that crossed my mind.  There was a trailer with sheep sitting outside it once on a sunday morning.  poor sheep never made it home from the sale on saturday  ;D

You might want to check that number. I'm pretty sure that's a Boyle prefix, or somewhere in the North Roscommon area. You'd be as close to Tullamore in Newry as you would be up there.

AZOffaly

Was just about to say that LS. Unless the woman owns property in Tullamore, she's not telling the truth. Tullamore numbers should be 0579.

Wait a minute, I just copped. You posted the wrong number. I bet it should be +353 579 353099

The two counties also met at minor level 3 years ago (2005) in the all-ireland semi final.  Down won that day 1-15 to 1-7 in Navan, and went on to win the final too.
Some of the players that day will involved again on Saturday night.

That was the year all 4 provincial winners (Armagh, Galway, Cork and Laois) were beaten by all 4 runners up (Mayo, Down, Offaly and Kerry) in the quarter finals. Killian Young was on that minor team for Kerry btw.

Right you are AZ.   From the Down team, only James Colgan will likely feature on Saturday night.  Are there any from that Offaly team?

AZOffaly

Niall Darby is starting on Saturday night, wing half forward. Gerry Grehan is on the panel. There were actually 2 of that team playing against Limerick in the hurling last Saturday, Diarmuid Horan and Conor Mahon.

I'd say MArty Clarke may have featured for ye if he wasn't otherwise distracted :D
