Hopefully the sterling area of our divided island will put the votes in to get the turkey into the final.

Dustin's entry is the opening shot of an American conspiracy to bring down Europe. Boston based political think tank the 'Ancient order of overweight Hibernians' hope that the sight of a bald eagle lookalike getting top votes in Europe will spark off a wave of pro-American feeling to the extent that it will bring down the EU.

It emerged yesterday the think tank carried out a test run last week and were delighted at the results. An Ancient order of overweight Hibernians spokesman, who insisted on not giving a name, said "If I, an anonymous Spurs supporting Armaghman, can cause such mayhem by plugging out a TV in Manchester imagine what I can do by getting such a provocative image to win next week's Eurovision election." The spokesman went on to say "Dustin's powerful image invokes other great turkeys such as the Spurs crest and Martin Jol."

The spokesperson refused to give any further details citing a "terrible thirst for Buckfast".
