Couldn't call either of Derrys Junior and Intermediate at this stage its been so tight and a few shocks. Our junior champs won't do much in Ulster anyway and for the first time in quite a few years we can't be accused of "cooking" the intermediate

Armagh18

All 3 Armagh levels the 2 strongest teams by far are meeting in the semi final.

Cross vs Clann Eireann could be an Ulster final with the amount of talent on show, could be a cracker. Dromintee and Killeavy on the other side are 2 decent teams but would be a level below the other 2.

St Peters are a very good side, Og's a strong too but don't think they'll have enough. On the other side Keady and St Pauls are both middling enough.

In the Junior Middletown and Ballyhegan are strong enough but wouldnt see them doing much in Ulster, the other 2 are junior b standard.

I can see either Desertmartin or Eoghan Rua winning Derry. Desertmartin have looked very impressive so far, and have Murray still to come in, while Eoghan Rua seem to have the McGoldricks, Holly and a few of the older lads back fit for the championship.

Either team would do very well in Ulster, if they get through. However Coleraine have a tricky game this weekend against Drumsurn, which will be very tight

Hugely surprised to see St Peter's as 8/15 favs v Pearse Ogs at 7/4 in Armagh IFC. I know where my money would he going. Could be the best. game of the weekend.

My treble for the weekend would he Ogs 7/4, Clann Eireann Evs  and Killeavy -handicap (by 5 or 6) as they are 1/4

Just can't see the Ogs winning that one, having seen both teams a couple of times this year. St Peters look a different animal.

No disrespect to Pomeroy, assuming they win, but not sure they are as strong as previous Tyrone Intermediate winners.

Fintona will be strong in Ulster. However Stewartstown will be closer than people think in Tyrone. They are used to levelling up a game.

I also think if Fintona are in Ulster they could be nipped. I'm not sure I've seen them with a complete performance yet.

Definitely Weaker intermediate in tyrone than there has been in a long time.  will be better next year with omagh and moortown or edendork down

As for fintona i suppose you could be right but they still have won every game against you could say the best opposition they could of played bar stewartstown very convincingly

Rostrevor would be favourites for the IFC in Down. They won Division 2 of the League this year as well so they will be playing Division 1 football next year. They were our last side to get to an Ulster IFC final in 2017, losing by a point to Moy who went on to win the All Ireland.

Drumaness won the Division 4 League in Down this year and will play Division 3 football next year. Them or Kilclief, whoever wins the JFC final, would be a stronger prospect than Ardglass last year but I'd suspect could be a fair bit off the Tyrone, Cavan and Monaghan champs. As previously noted, Down's record at Ulster JFC level is abysmal.

Kick it in high

Who is the frontrunners for Junior. Blackhill back again, Fintona will be looking revenge for the hammering in 23. What about armagh and Cavan any standouts?

Newtownbutler should come out of Fermanagh and could be a potential dark horse - been very successful in recent times at underage.

Is king back from injury for them?

tintin25

Diarmuid King?  Yeah, back playing it seems

I fancy Pearse Óg in Armagh. Them and St Peter's the two strongest teams. Whoever wins that semi should win the final. I've known to be wrong on these matters before but they're slightly ahead of the other two semi-finalists.

At Junior level, winner of Middletown/Ballyhegan semi final should come out on top. Collegeland won in 2024 but they've lost a few players. Corringshego getting to a final would be a shock in itself.

Given the lopsided nature of Division 1 and 2 clubs from other counties playing Intermediate and Junior football, I would not expect either of Armagh's representatives to make a dent at provincial level.

SouthOfThe Bann

Doire trasna beating Drum in Derry JFC semi tonight.

Is this a big shock?... Were they in Derry JFC final last year or was that another Derry city team?

Yes Trasna beat comfortably in last years final by Slaughtmanus. Wouldn't say its a shock, they were one of the favourites, be a shock if Magilligan beat Ballerin in the other semi on Sunday
