Theirs? Never a penalty. Ballard pulls him down. Gabriel booked for being peacemaker. Overturning a throw when Danso took on average twice as long. Awful ref.

Thought the referee was shocking last night, no control over the game at all. Also the constant talk off VAR are just checking something from the commentators sounded like they where looking for something to give Sunderland

Not quite what Arteta made of it! Wonder what mind games he's going for there with that interview.

Really?

I thought Arteta was correct.

Yeah he was, both pundits on MOTD said never a penalty and was Konsa being fouled.

Puckoon

I mean yeah I thought it was a bit over the top. So did all the pundits on the broadcast I was watching and the interviewer certainly didn't think that was what was coming.

ONeill

Gyokeres is not on Arteta's radar at all now. He's rather run Havertz into the ground than play him. Thought he might have given Ballard something to think about late on.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

Captain Obvious

I've just seen the penalty for Sunderland at the weekend. It reminds me of free kicks so called fouls that Tyrone footballers regularly engineer.

Thoughts on the season so far?

Arsenal aren't deadly to watch. Arteta, to be fair to him, stuck to his guns and was stubborn enough to win the league and the kick of a ball from the CL.

Will the bubble burst soon or can he eek another title playing this way?

Assuming City get their just desserts, there's no one else good enough to finish within ten points of Arsenal.

But yeah, they're a grim watch!

tiempo

Taking the young centre half off at half time cus he got turned for the goal was pissy as f**k by Arteta who is gutted they're out, its a blessing as the latter rounds and fixture congestion aren't whats needed if going seriously on 3 other fronts

Happy enough with season. Think Arsenal are trying to play expansive football, have scored some lovely passing moves and when played Bayern who don't defend deep the game was excellent. Just need a striker who can play against a deep block.

GTP

The later rounds of the League Cup do cause bother, especially two legged semi finals, but they also give squad players a match so can be of benefit. If you go out you would like to do it against a decent side getting beat by Fleetwood is never a good thing.
I would be concerned that without Saka and with neither Havertz or Gyokeres looking like a decent striker, they will revert to too many draws and start dropping points. For all the squad building that has occurred we have a bunch of midfielders who never really rotate, plenty of full back options (when fit) but no depth in the front 3/4.
I still can't work out the point of bringing in Bruno.

He has scored two winners.
