Irritating result but no bearing on anything really. Good to give the young reserves a run in Europe.

Did any of you see the program lastnight about Johnny Evans? Seems a nice down to Earth guy with big ambitions.

That sounds like a press release from his agent, what were you expecting from him, lighting cigars with £100 notes ?
"When it's too tough for them, it's just right for us"

QuoteIm not saying he isnt a good player, im just saying he doesnt justify the hype that surrounded him after THAT goal v Villa.

Whose hype?  I think you're reading too many tabloids.

Fergie has wasted millions and the youth system must be a mess at United. How can he justify the money he has spent when their second string plus some senior players can't beat a very poor Turkish team? They didn't even seem driven to try and impress. Dunphy is right.

Plus what was the point in signing Owen if he won't even start in a game like that?

Lovely guy alright. Has he apologised yet for breaking Drogba's ribs yet in a tackle similar to which Schumacher was riled?

no bites yet then?

BerfArmagh

I was'nt too impressed with the new breed last night.

Gibbs is too lethargic for me, good passer, but has no urgency or bite (Another Carrick!)
I have yet to see anything from the much hyped Welbeck
Macheda has promise, but hes no rooney
Obertan actually looks the best of the bunch, very raw but has loads of promise (that said he is the new ian dowie)
Foster just does'nt fill

What happened the serb guys they signed????

looking forward to Hargreaves coming back, him and fletcher could be a good central midfield pairing

Gibson - possibly a late developer like Fletcher (or maybe not)
Welbeck - nailed on to be a star in my opinion
Macheda - Extremely harsh to compare anyone with Rooney at 18, has been discussed earlier
Oberton - Could be anything, not seen enough of him yet
Foster - Great shotstopper, other parts of his game still let him down though

The Serbs - Tosic still deemed to lightweight for Prem which is a worry, he does play regularly for Serbian national team though, Ljajic is hopefully coming in Jan, was one of the stars of UEFA U19 tounament.

On Hargreaves, I'm beginning to doubt whether he'll ever come back at top level. THe date seems to keep getting pushed further and further. Actually don't think there is a date anymore although there were pics of him at training the other day..

QuoteGARY NEVILLE has stuck the boot in on Liverpool by blasting: You got what you deserved!
The Manchester United skipper is well-known for his run-ins with Reds fans over the years.

And he has wasted no time in twisting the knife after Rafa Benitez's side were knocked out of the Champions League this week.

Neville said: "As a team, you get what you deserve don't you?

"We are where we are because we deserve to be there and it's the same with Liverpool.

"We went out ourselves a few years back. They just haven't performed well enough in the Champions League to get the results."

Good man Gary :D
