Last time I checked a game lasts 90 minutes, United deserved to win that game because they were the better team over 90 minutes, if you don't believe me check the scoreboard!

United were the best team in Europe that year though, unfortunate that they lost 2 key players for the final.  Anyway, 20 league titles is some achievement, puts a bit of daylight between our nearest rivals.

buttner has played 3 times in the PL, 3 in FA Cup,  3 in Cl and 2 in League cup...so no he dosent however im sure united will splash out for medals for the squad...im sure clubs can pay for them, happend with a few clubs before

Is Lindegaard the only player who has not made the requisite 10 appearances but could still make it over the final 4 games?

Lindegaard automatically gets one anyway as he's the No.2 goalkeeper. They are exempt from the "10 games" rule.

If Buttner plays a few more games I think United might apply for a medal for him. Don't think Powell will get one. Fletcher might get one on the grounds of illness & injury that kept him out.

I didnt think the rules mentioned anything about 2nd keepers being exempt from the 10 game rule, but they are probably more likely to have their case heard favourably if the club apply to the FA for an extra medal. Same would probably go for anyone who was on the bench a lot but didnt see much game time, like Buttner I'd imagine.

Watching Bayern last, are they in a place that United should be? They have built massively on their own commercial appeal and success, have a very healthy youth system but have added where necessary with big name players and continue to do so.

Now that they dominate their own domestic league, they have pushed on in Europe and are going to the next level.

United are the only club comparable to them, as you could say as well that Bayern are the only club in Germany comparable to United.

Must be fustrating to watch for United fans.

And before you say it, as a Liverpool we are constantly fustrated and we are looking more at the likes of Spurs, Dortmund etc with for comparisons rather than European finalists.

Its bonkers that the Bayern manager could win the treble only to be replaced. His record over the past couple of years is exceptional. United should have him understudy Fergie for a year then let him have the big job.

Bayern have had one great season. A few years ago people were fretting that Wolfsburg were going to dominate German football as they were insulated from ownership requirements by their legacy association with Volkswagen. Didn't work out that way. So let's wait to see how Bayern get on before pronouncing them the new Madrid.
