Just back from the home of the champions a great way to spent Monday night. Old Trafford was at it's brilliant best tonight the place rocked! the game itself was done & dusted at half time the Van Persie 2nd goal was worth the trip over. He scored that type of goal last season v Everton if my memory serves me right.

All the old songs were brought back from Forlan,Cole to O'Shea a real party atmosphere. Was fitting the 20th title has come 20 years after Uniteds first title for 26 years and hat trick tonight from number 20.

That was one of Uniteds most comfortable title wins i think you have to go back about 10 seasons since they last won the league in April. The likes of City,Chelsea should provide a better challenge next season but United will remain the team to beat.

Its a fantastic feeling being there when they win the title. I was lucky enough to be there for the Blackburn game back when this phenominal run of Sir Alexs began in 93 a night i will never forget standing in the old scoreboard end paddock only 40,000 capacity back then. I never thought 20 years later we would be out on our own at the top of the title charts. Fergie is without doubt the greatest manager ever, yes he should have won more European cups and im sure he would have  only for coming up against one of the greatest club sides ever in 2 finals. He will win another euro before he retires.

So in other words.. He would have won more European Cups if they have of been good enough.
They weren't so they didn't.

In fairness most sides had a slice of luck along the way to winning the Champions league. The Barcelona 2009,2011 sides would have beaten some of the best ever teams.

He was lucky to win the two he did IMO.

They went through both those successful European Cup campaigns without losing a single game. Against Bayern they played poorly but hung in there despite having their two first choice central midfielder's suspended.
In 2008 they should have had it wrapped up by half time. In the end it went to penalties, always a lottery, surely as a Liverpool fan who has seen his side win two European Cups in a similar fashion you can understand that?
Also, if you're going to cite examples of Fergie being 'lucky' (without actually giving an example as it happens) then it's only fair that the times he's been unlucky are also mentioned, such as Dortmund in the 1997 semi final or Leverkusen in 2002.
