Bryson got the better of Brolly on the podcast, dunno why, but I expected more from Brolly.

I listened to this over the weekend because I couldn't believe it. How can articulate Brolly be done over by binboy, but you were correct not a single blow landed on someone with virtually zero defense.


His problem is he waffles and waffles to the extent his original point is lost. Even Bryson was trolling him by saying is there a question you want to ask?

It's not rocket science over Drumcree.

Simple points like it's traditional er no it isn't as multiple routes have been used.

None of this thrown back at Bryson.

Even the boring it's only 35 Christian pensioners etc. Brolly not once mentioned the perfectly viable alternative route that the whole district can use.

Bryson even had the gall to say he was prepared to get them down the road once and then that would be it. Brolly didn't challenge the fact he is on record saying multiple times that they would be back for more and more until the whole district got down.

He even allowed binboy to deflect the conversation onto the Irish language as if it was some sort of nationalist equivalent.

All in all it was quite pathetic. On the few occasions he did get Jamie into a corner all Jamie had to do was talk over him or ask a different question back.   

As for yer man fanning did he go out to do his weekly Tesco shop or something? Literally asked 2 questions in the hour. A brick would have been as much use.

Don't think I'll be listening to another one

It's par for the course with Fanning trying to get a word in and failing. There was one five minute stretch where he was trying to interject, but Brolly just kept talking over him, as he does in all of their podcasts.

Joe is always adamant and aggressive about finishing his point, but he is very loathe to allow Fanning to make his.

Which is partly why I was so surprised that he let Bryson off as easily as he did.

Joe works on the premise that he is the smartest person in any room and therefore has to talk at length to show people how smart he is and in doing so frequently loses the run of himself.
