I just watched the Spotlight programme, wasted an hour of my life. Nobody seemed to have anything about his abuse but a lot of the politicians he shafted knew he was a bad one.

Thanks for saving us time..most of these documentaries are as such.

I stick mostly to reading, video and audio are huge time sinks

Actually I thought the documentary was quite good, visits to gay saunas, drunk and projectile vomiting over the Mayor of Beijing, revelations from Ian Og about complaints from another lady about his inappropriate behaviour, what more do you want

I just thought it pretty harmless tale telling. Although to be fair Ian Og is the definition of inappropriate behaviour. 😎

To be fair puking over the mayor of Beijing is pretty epic The DUP did well to keep tidying up after him without any of it getting out. The Sunday life would have had a field day with some of those stories. Still if many in the DUP knew he was a loose cannon then why did they make him leader

I still think there's loads of more questions for a lot more people involved in this.


The DUP have realeased a statement saying they are doing 'their' review. This will take the heat off them for a few weeks.


I'd love to see the various DUP whatsapp groups this past few days. Would be enlightening stuff I'm sure.


But it's the religious element to this that gets me. Such hypocrites. And they're all the same.

I can't remember the name of the woman but she was saying the London life and life back home were worlds apart and that had to be known by every journo and party big wigs.

Now I see some on X saying that they always knew he was dodgy, but that's an admission in my book!

The Spotlight show was not as explosive as I thought it might and I do feel it was slightly contrived. What evidence is there that he puked on the Mayor of Beijing?  Like he's not going to deny it and no one is actually going to support it. 2 senior members of the PSNI just happened to be walking past a prominent gay sauna place when he just happened to be going in?  I don't buy it.

It seems strange that all these stories are breaking now so long after the event. All very convenient. Like everything in this place I am always suspicious of who gains what from each action or event. I think there are more pages to be turned here on this whole thing yet and there will be a few people sweating hard at the minute wondering when they will be in the firing line.

The DUP boking up over a Chinese Communist Party dignitary? Strange goings on @ these gatherings, when the ould Chinese rice wine is served.

Maybe President Xi had a cunning plan, to oust Jeffrey from the DUP leadership & to parachute big Gavin in. Who knows?

Plus, Paisley Junior having a go at anyone [even Donaldson] is just ludicrous, when you look back at his own track record.

But the idea that someone as high profile as Donaldson and as much in the public eye can be so depraved unnerves and appals.

What we are seeking is the reassurance that paedophiles cannot move undetected among us, that we can keep children safe from them. There is none.

The guilty verdict may have brought his courageous victims a form of closure, but the trauma he inflicted when he raped a little girl, when he pushed his hands into a little girl's underwear, is a life sentence.

The reality is Donaldson, like so many abusers, was able to control and intimidate for decades. His public persona was his shield, not his undoing.
