Had decent game yes but Derry is a bit of a stretch.
The lad he was marking probably doesn't start if Swatragh had full team out added to the fact they were miles off the fitness required.

The issue with the good forwards in Steelstown team, Mc Monagle, Mc Carron, Deery is they look really sharp and clinical until someone goes to the limit physically then they tend to go missing a bit. Although tonight was a good starter to settle them in.

I would reserve judgement until he's picked up by Clucky, Forbes, Mulholland, Warnock and players of that calibre.

We had a good 'discussion' recently after the Swatragh V SN league game a few weeks ago. Looks like I was proved right. A double figure 11 pt hammering.

No issue with North Derry lads sure its half the county, unfortunately at county level they don't pull half their weight.

Delighted to see Limavady and Faughanvale up to try give North or the county a push. Pity their commitment levels didn't manage to keep them there.

Do you honestly think Mc Monagle had a good second half? Really? A good 20min spell warrant a county call up now?
He's a good forward no doubt but he much better than Caolan Devlin or Ryan Mc Nicholl in the first game.
Is he better than Oisin Doherty the night before.
Calm down with the North Derry chip on your shoulder a lets see how he does against the stronger opposition.

I'm saying Swatragh put their fastest defender on Mc Monagle and he was too slow and probably too light. Probably missing best man marker in Sean Francis Quinn and best half back came on half time and clearly wasn't fully fit.

He was RHB and was a bit off his usual self. Has missed few games and doesn't just seem 100% but a good man marker yes.

Look Marty its all about winning, Steelstown really went at them from the start.
Fantastic analysis for a team to seem to prioritise winning in competitive sport.

Swatragh gave away stupid line ball mid way through second half if they had got a score there would have been 3 points in it, Steelstown went straight up the pitch got a goal to make it 7. That flattered them for what was a poor second half when an actual competitive game seemed to be on.

Can you go to and stick to posts about DUP woman buying clothes or Glasgow Celtic instead of coming here with you wee huffy posts?

Two one sided games earlier. Decent crowd at them but not much noise. Neither game was close at any point after the first 10 minutes. That said, Glen don't look anything special and loosing McDermott won't help. Hard to make a call on Bellaghy but I'd say them and Lavey would fancy their chances against Glen.

Poor Banagher always getting a tough draw even going back to their last Intermediate campaign coming up against eventual winners Ballinderry in the semis that year.

Paddy Mc Larnon and Aidan Mc Cluskey had some games for Magherafelt this evening. Conall Higgins is some handful in full forward line.

Cathal Mc Kaigue another big talent.
A good game but Magherafelt more legs and bigger impacts from the bench.

Clucky as always is just everywhere you need him.

Magherafelt were very impressive ,and still have Shane Heavron to come back in (who was togged out and did a decent warm up ) Finn McEldowney and Dan Higgins both went off injured in that game , Dungiven never got going at all against Bellaghy with Mark Diamond very good at midfield  , Glen looked impressive in spells with  Banagher getting  a couple of goals to keep them in it to half time time
