Vardys seding of looked harsh, hope he gets it sorted on appeal.

Cant appeal 2 x yellows.

He should actually get another game for his reaction but hes not a hateful c*nt unlike Diego Costa so....

You made a typo, so I fixed it.

He looks like one though, did you see him pointing the finger in the refs face yesterday. NT is right, if he wasn't English there would be more said about the dive and his reaction to the sending off.

Don't get all this love in for Leicester too

He'd be regarded as a bit of a hateful cnut if he played for a top team, its just the way it works..

Jailbird diver with a hint of racism.

To be fair to vardy , i thought the first booking was extremely harsh.
He certainly tried to make the most of the contact for the second one, but it was no worse a dive than Reids for the west ham penalty.
Some crazy inconsistency from the referee yesterday.
Huth should have had a penalty given against him and one for him and the carroll challenge was never a pen either

Fair play to Leicester. They gave up the hurling and put all their efforts into football and now look where they are..
Take note Kilkenny....
When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.

Vardy's divers an example what has gone wrong with soccer. There was a slight pull on his arm, yes, but then he jumped off his feet like they had been lassoed. He blatantly tried to con the ref and thus was attempting to cheat.

How is this any better than say doping?

Part of the problem is this ' he was entitled to go down' attitude trotted out by most pundits.
TBF some of them did call Vardy on it, but all to often all you get is 'there was contact' or 'he is entitled to go down looking that'.

Going to stick a few bob on Spurs to win it at 3/1. Will make it interesting 8)

A big problem is the way its seemingly acceptable for a player to grab another mans arm - that is a foul and therefore Vardy was being fouled for a few seconds before he hit the ground.  It cannot be said for definite that it was a dive either, he was going at full pelt and there was a tangling of legs that influenced what happened.  He is a lot more likeable than Costa too.

This is a huge part of the problem. It is a contact sport.

More likeable? Racist, convicting of assault? You think that's likable.

The other problem is that referees will only ever give you a penalty if you go down even if you're being pulled to pieces.
Ever saw a penalty given when an attacker is pulled back but stayed on his feet?

Maroon Manc

i had to laugh at Mike Dean not sending off Zabaleta on Saturday, it was a very obvious 2nd yellow and this was the same ref who couldn't get his card out quick enough to send Mata off against West Brom even though Zabaleta's challenge was a much more cynical.

Niall Quinn v Spain World Cup 2002.

But your point is valid and that is part of the problem too. The same applies in GAA. You could kill a Michael Murphy or Aiden O'Shea type player and they won't get a free.
