The Laochra Gael of Frank is a great watch if you haven't seen it.
The bit at the end with Frank and Brian is class.

Grace Murphy

Frank McGuigan sold his all star in 2005 when Brian lost out to Peter Canavan.

Heard the family bought it quietly - I wonder is that story true?

Also heard a story about how Pomeroy was at capacity for a first round Tyrone championship Ardboe was playing back in his day when a false rumour started that the king had returned to pay for them!

The Pomeroy episode is mentioned in the Frank McGuigan Laochra Gael about halfway through.

The Boy Wonder

Quote from: J70 on May 24, 2026, 11:03:55 AMOnly seen his highlights and read the stories, but genius of a player.

Enjoyed his GAA Social interview a while back.

RIP and condolences to his family and Ardboe and Tyrone GAA.

Listened to that GAA Social interview today.
A great man though a flawed man like us all.
But he was himself - great footballer and a great character.
RIP Frank

It's a couple of posts above. He sold or tried to sell his award in protest at his son not getting one.
